Hi Argo! I applied for an F1 visa in Warsaw (Poland) 9th of September and got refused, because I was very nervous and couldn't answer questions confidently. Then I immedeately scheduled next appointment 13th of September and the interview went pretty well, however I got refused with a 221(g). Visa officer told me to send documents that prove my financial status to their email. I sent them all the necessary documents in 2 days and still waiting for the reply. Language courses start 24th October and I am tired of waiting. I even called them and they told that everything depends on Consular office and that even approximate date of decision cannot be told to me, it also could take several months. What should I do next? Ask the university to shift the classes till next semester? Or wait till they start?

I applied to devry university and have gotten my I-20. I was supposed to start spring 2023 but unfortunately I was able to get an appointment for July 2023. But rather than deferring my admission and waiting for months, I informed my Uni I will be starting in spring from my home country. Luckily they welcomed the idea and said I could start online prior to July.

If the V.O notices that you studied online. it means that you can finish the whole course while studying online. Anyway Goodluck

@@caltontwase3171 If your program is exclusively online, then the University will not issue the you I-20 in the first place. Most American programs are a mix of online and Classroom setting. As a matter of fact, if the V.O sees that u ve taken time to start classes online even when u haven’t gotten the visa, it strengthens your visa application and shows that you are a genuine student who is actually going to the US to do what they claim, which is study.

Hello Argo! I have a question and be grateful if you respond to it. I've been rejected for an F1 visa twice in July and August. I guess it was because of being self-funded.. is it risky to apply for the visa again for a new university with 25% funding for the spring semester or should I wait to request for more funds for next fall??! Same here, i was denied yesterday and had very bad luck Actually a guy next to me in the que argued with the visa officer and when it was my turn the visa officer left the counter and walked around the lobby i was watching her through the window, when she came back i greet her but she didn't respond and asked for my i20 and passport i passed over my passport and she threw it back to me and said remove the rubber band then i removed the rubber band and passed it over again and she barely look into my i20 and passport and then asked me which university you are going to? i answered that, then asked me why this university? i was in the middle of my answer and she rolled up my documents and issued me 214b yellow denail ticket, she hardly given me 30 sec time , So honestly speaking i faced the consequences for someone els's behavior. The visa officer was so furious she mixed her emotions and profession and resultantly issued me a denail without giving me a chance to prove myself niether looked into my documents, i would say that getting US visa is totally dependent upon visa officers mood and your luck.
