I can't believe I found your videos. I've been racking my brain to try and figure out what's wrong with me and why I can't walk without a walker, and why my balance is so bad! I'm only 68 and the two years of COVID and working from home, I think did me in. I didn't go anywhere and had no where to walk. Went to neurologist and had EMG studies and MRIs. So ya, I have arthritis in my back, but that's all that's been found. I am trying PT again. We even moved so we are in a neighborhood, so I can walk with my walker. I used to be, withing the last 5 years, a horse rider/jumper, worked out everyday. Grew up as a dancer and runner. I'm so encouraged by your videos. Finally! Thank you!

Dear Tina, have you tried walking sticks? They might help you with walking. Good luck🌺

3 years ago was finally diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease after 6 years of progressive walking and balance issues. 2 years of PT strength training attempts with no progress, vertigo maneuvers did nothing, I quit. I’m 72 and feeling defeated. I was a wilderness hiker camper and dancer. Now it’s a struggle to get around the house. Furniture walking. My tremor is minor and well controlled with low dose levodopa. I’m glad I found this channel. I’ll try your routines. I’ll try anything at this point.

I have been doing the exercises you are referring to and will continue as you say every day I possibly can. Thank you you mentioned dancing and I’m trying some new programs for boogie woogie dance I do notice I can do the beginner steps easier now. I’m 90+ years of age but I insist on keeping as able as possibly for as long as I can Thank you for this info. L from Canada. 😊

Don't know what came first, off balance or lightheadedness (which I call dizziness). Dr. at Baylor here in Houston told me I did not have vertigo and said I had Vestibular Migraines although I do not have migraines.Went for a short time to PE but no change...I love to dance and have heard before dancing could make the difference...think I'll experiment...there is a PE online I just found who had a doctor from MI say it also has to do with fight or flight and thebrain gets confused...really appreciate these latest videos from you.

One question please. Will the lightheadedness / dizziness go away as we relearn balance? And by the way, thank God, I have never fallen. I presume these exercises will help anyhow.

Are balancing activities good for golfers? Any specific recommendations?
@neurolasticinstitute424 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question. I created a three level balance training program. The highest level would be perfect for people that play golf and want to improve their balance ball in the course. Please check it out.

When i walk with my walker ‘ my walker goes on the side it not straight , I don’t feel that I’m pushing it to ,what is I,m doing wrong?
@neurolasticinstitute424 Жыл бұрын
Hi. This is a good question. Most likely you are leaning more on one side. The walker will turn to this side that is getting more pressure.
