The BEST Way to PREVENT RUST on your Vehicle, or Trailer!

In this video I'm going to go through undercoating a trailer with Woolwax Black. I live in a state that spreads salt on the roads in the winter time and this undercoating is one of the best investments you can make to protect your vehicle or trailer.

I prefer woolwax over fluid film. Woolwax is a little thicker, doesn’t wash off as easy, and doesn’t stink

I do it every year, but you could probably get away with every other year, it’s just easy for me because I have everything to do it with.

@EverythingElliott I'm doing mine now. It's 40 fool long and 12 wide. I've done it before with thompsons and it took all 5 gallons. Not using that ever again.

Looks good. I'm from Montreal, so not far from you guys, and we too use salt on our roads in mass quantities. Here galvanized trailers are very common. Do they sell those down in New York? I got rid of all my painted/powder coated trailers years ago, because doesn't matter what you spray on them or do to them, they all end up rusting out. The powder coated ones are even worse than regular paint. I have a 6x12 dump and uncle has a 7x14 dump both galvanized. Bit more expensive, but well worth it to not deal with any rust.

Galvanized trailers are certainly a thing around here, they just come with such a price difference that people don't often consider them.

@@EverythingElliott I hear ya. For me, the lack of rust, plus very good resale value made it worth it. Plus I found a good deal and basically got mine for the same price of a similar painted/powder coated trailer. If you manage to get one at a good price, definitely worth it! 😃
