This made me sad. I'm British born and I'm mixed race white and Indian. My parents were born here. Yet I've experienced so much casual racism from other Brits. Yet, at the same time I have non-English born white friends who experience nothing.

@@sirdavidr6064 That's basically my point. Rather than you saying 'sorry that this happens' or 'it shouldn't be like this', instead, you just reinforce what I'm saying. You're defending the lack of racism of a white person rather than being appalled by the racism of a mixed race person. You also don't consider that I'm British, and so are my parents. Their parents are Indian or Irish. Why should I experience racism just because it's a 'white country' and I'm not white enough? I'm British.

Thought some of the depictions of racists were a bit cartoony, a bit "Here's every EDL dickhead talking point", but man, the woman on the bus? I've heard THAT bullshit way too many times. Loved the old chap in the first bit, LOVED Raj's rant, and loved the bus scene. May have to check this series out, seems like a good time, if a little soapbox-y

I'm white british and I frakking hate how much hidden (and not hidden) racism there is in this country. Mostly the generations in their 40's and above, it's sickening.
