By far the best lifting channel on KZbin, wish I'd found this ten years ago. If you did a collab with one of those guys like Will Tennyson who have millions of subscribers interested in bodybuilding and powerlifting you'd quadruple your subscribers (and also probably stop tens of thousands of guys wrecking their shoulders, backs and wrists).

Signing up for the online training and working with Coach John has been a massive game changer this last year. Being an IT troop for the military, I have to pass PT tests and stay deployable but also work a job where I spend hours typing away in a seated position. He’s helped a ton in not only getting me stronger but undoing a lot of the damage from my job by building up my glutes, low back and hamstrings

Some people say science doesn’t back speed work but if you were a sprinter you better hit top speed faster than the guy next to you or you’ll get beaten. Similarly if you take too long to complete a lift the muscles will overheat locally because you took too long and ATP won’t be able to perform its function no matter how strong you are. Studies don’t back up speed work, basic biology and common sense does

I'll tell you what I do. I have six workouts in rotation I do over a fortnight. 15-25 reps. 2 sets. Deadlift. Squat. OHP. Bench. DB Bench. Machine Fly. Seated Cable Row. 1 Arm Row. Chest Supported Row. Leg Curl. Leg Extention. Chin-Pull-neutral grip Ups. Hip Thrust. Barbell Curls. Hammer Curls. Back Extention. Toes to bar. Negative sit ups. DB Bulgarians. Hack Squat. Leg Press. DB Trunk Twists. Hip Abductions. Dips. Chest Supported DB kickbacks. Captain's chair paused knee raise. Captain's chair paused single knee raise. DB Front Raise. DB Side Laterals. Incline Bench. What's my max? Who knows. Last time I tried I hurt something. If you want to feel like pushing the limit without breaking yourself, lower the weight increase the reps. You don't get better at swimming by doing so at the deepest depths. You do so by slowly increasing the ability to apply and diffuse pressure efficiently. Like SS2 Gohan but not like USSJ Trunks. That's my take anyway. My goal is to go from 100lbs to 225lbs and enjoy the ride Cuz time is never time at all. It's here, lost, and yet to be existing as one.

Hey Matt! Would you have any Strength Program specific? To be honest I'm just a little lazy on creating a proper strength routine and don't want to burn myself too fast from improper programming. Been training a bodybuilding lifting style over 17 years and yet never competed but just want to keep that fire burning with loving the gym. Have had a few pains here and there but nothing to serious as I'll allow myself to recover and just listen to the cues my body is letting me know of.. Lately been training for a Spartan beast event [13.1 miles] and keeping what muscle i have with a 2 or 3 day full body routine which is on this coming December. By the way just recently joined your channel and watched a number of your videos and loving the information!

The problem with this method is the amount of equipment you require. You simply cannot do it with a bare bones set up which makes it useless for a home gym or even a commercial gym. I have a small garage and I cannot fit or afford that much equipment into that small space.

How about thousands of eastern block athletes that were actually studied and researched ?
@NicholasRachuna2 жыл бұрын
@@WenningStrength we can say the same for Sheiko… I’m asking a serious question. Besides, who witnessed these studies? Also, didn’t these programs weed out the bottom 98 percent of the gene pool? So you’re telling me there was thousands of top world athletes who all benefited from constantly maxing out or was it a select few out of tens of thousands where the vast majority broke down and couldn’t handle the demands of the training. Would this not suggest that that system would be hazardous to anyone but the ultra elite?

Just watched a bit of your live instagram, couldn’t agree more in regards to young lifters who are having success very quickly but whether or not they will stand the test of time seems unlikely. The anti sumo comments are probably the most telling. Anyone who doesn’t understand or refuses to understand the merits of learning to create force through the hips verses force through the quadriceps simply will never stand the test of time. To ignore an entire area of the body that can generate the most torque is irrational and lazy.
