I laugh, if I seem to have a CNC issue or question, it seems you have a video with an answer. I, somehow, missed this video but a Google search brought me right to it. Saw your channel and thought "of course"!

haha, we're moving on up! Glad it was there for you to check it out. Battery finally died on me after 2 or 3 months without a charge. of course at the most inconvenient time though lol

You said that the Rii had to be connected to the laptop for it to work with the CNC. Will it not work wirelessly with the laptop?
@aetimberpine2 жыл бұрын
It is wireless by use of a usb wireless receiver. So the usb receiver needs to be connected not the controller. I meant that it’s not Bluetooth wireless. Bluetooth wireless would not need the usb receiver. With that said, I just received word that there is a Bluetooth wireless version and I just linked it in my description below. I would go with the Bluetooth version for convenience and not needing that usb reciever.

So I just got one of these bad boys biased on your recommendations What are the key combos to control the spindle?
@aetimberpine Жыл бұрын
Hey Adam I think you’ll really like it. Unfortunately I don’t have a spindle so I’m not familiar with the controls. I would start by seeing if the spindle has some control instructions. If it’s powered by your keyboard then I would think the controller would control it too.

@@aetimberpine Thanks for getting back to me. Also, you have awesome content. After letting my shapeoko sit for a while coming across your channel inspired me to get back out there and fire it back up. I misused the term spindle... I have a carbide 3D router. Is there a way to change the speed of the movements (FAST. ,.01,.001)? I don't think I'm getting the most out of this device. I'm only using the arrow buttons for X & Y movement and page up and page down to control the z axis. What are the button combinations that you are using?
@aetimberpine Жыл бұрын
Thanks Adam and glad the videos have gotten you back at it. Oh okay, yes, there are buttons for that. Button for number 1, 2, 3 and 4 control the speed at which the router moves. 1 being at the slowest interval and 4 being the fastest. I use A, S, D and W for my directional movement. A (Left) D (Right) S (North) W (South) For Up and Down in Z direction I use the comma and period. , (down) . (up) Those are all the buttons I use. Hope this helps.

How do you program this remote to work with the machine is what I want to know?! And on top of that how do you get the jog speed with it too?! Basically how do you program the dang thing?? LoL 😂 🤔 🤷♂️
@aetimberpine5 ай бұрын
@@PiercesPerfectPieces haha hey pierces. The remote is basically a remote keyboard. So you’re programming the remote to replicate your computer keyboard. So just as you would use your computer keyboard buttons to move the machine you’re just bypassing the computer itself and using the remote. I use the previous model that requires a USB to create the link but the new ones are Bluetooth.
