I love Play By Play since I collect Pokemon plush. I think I read once years ago that often two of the same plush, like a Raichu or something when compared can have different shades of orange for the body. Apparently Play By Play had limited amounts of fabric so if they ran out of one color they'd use a close enough but different color to continue making more plush. That may explain why Sonic here has weird colors, like his purple soles.
