We can actually put even more anime perspective into this: EG was the enemy where you got your revenge, but the true boss of TI8 was PSG.LGD,the chinese team who was 2-0ing everyone in the main event, and seemed unstoppable. Only OG defeated LGD in the main event: an 2-1 in the upper's finals, and an 3-2 in the grand finals with everything that an anime final battle between the protagonist and the boss could have: -a good and hopeful start for the protagonist(game one) -the boss starts to crush the protagonist with ease and make it seems that all hope is gone(games 2 and 3) -the protagonist gets a surge in power level and manages to even the odds somehow(game 4) -the boss starts to crush him again until the protagonist surges in power level again and finally wins the battle for good.

N0tail being so underrated, and deevaluated, and then not just showing up but building the strongest, most consistent mega team with himself as the glue that makes it all work goes to show you why fans shouldn't bring you down. What a legend, what a hero. Fly deserved to watch his former best friend's greatest triumphs, seeing exactly what he could have achieved had he not been such a weak character. Consider this, the person holding the team back was in fact Fly because he didn't actually believe in the values he preached, a fraud and a liar to himself, and everyone else. This is so wholesome and really just clarifies the pictur I've always had of Johan. I'll give you a small but sweet story. I grew up and live in Jönköping. Me and my friends were all aspiring (but bad) HoN players and had seats for many consecutive Dreamhacks around 2008-2013. HoN was really the first e-sport which caught me and my friends attention and we always took every chance we could to see the tournaments at Dreamhack. Because of their dominance and fun antics, I grew very fond of fnatic and followed them throughout many online tournaments. When they returned to Dreamhack, I believe this was 2012, I felt like this super dedicated fan and went to see all of fnatics matches during the event. In a brave moment I also added Johan as a friend on Facebook, you know, like you do when you are a young teenager and really look up to someone. I also remember me and my friends cheering them on to their victory in the grand final and it really felt like when your soccer team wins the cup or something. High on this feeling I decided to write a paper in high school on e-sports and for this I wanted a pro to answer some questions on what it was like to make a living out of playing games. I collected some courage and wrote to Johan on Facebook. I don't remember which questions I asked but I'm sure they were pretty silly and not very interesting at all. To me this was more of an opportunity to interact with my idol. BUT. Johan responded in the most polite manner and in a way that made me feel seen and appreciated. I was so proud of this and this made me pour my heart into this paper. To then see Johan continue his career in e-sports and reach heights which not many have done has been so heart warming. He really is a great guy and I remember that he always took time for chatting, joking and taking pictures when you spotted him at Dreamhack. To me Johan is two things; a fierce and ultra talented competitor but he is also like so many of us - your friend next door who grew up enjoying games. Johan, if you see this. Thanks for the quotes to the paper and you are perfect. Just f*cking perfect!

You know what, OG's Ti8 winning tale remind me of something happened long ago. In soccer, a country national team wasn't supposed to play in Euro 1992 because they failed in the qualification rounds, but then they ended up playing to replace Yugoslavia that suffered from wars. Nobody would expect they could do much on the tournament. But against all odds, they went through straight to the final and eventually won the Euro 1992. That contry was Denmark. Yes, the big daddy's birthplace.

Even in his original support role I don't think he's ever known to be an exceptionally good support like Jerax other then the fact that Notail got crazy micro skills.
