No way you guys got Wendigoon! Love this corner of the internet. But this is why I hate the algorithm..I’ve looked up Wendigoon plenty of times and have never seen this interview. I’m guessing he brought it up in a video a few months ago and I didn’t see it, but I hope he brings it up again so more people can watch this. 😊. On the other hand..with the way the algorithm doesn’t love conspiracy theories, it’s always been this funny conspiracy to me that he grew as much as he did as fast as he did, it’s insane! I found him through his Ant Kids Cult video when I wasn’t even looking. Then I end up learning about Dante’s Inferno through him, which I never thought to look into before, but man was that interesting. Dear God I almost spit out my cereal during the Wendigo eco-fascist Lorax forest warden convo 🤣

1:08:25 the first game caught my attention after I randomly bought and i was intrigued by the concept of being able to view your ancestor's memories and basing the assassins off of the real hashasin group that had a castle base at masyaf and fought in battle against templar and tuetonic knights, however the game was a bit clunky. but after playing 2, brotherhood, and 3, with better mechanics and better story crafting, i fell in love with the series because they used actual historical events and figures and basically just did a fictional self insert in to real history which is such a cool concept.

on the note of it not raining with before the flood, the sun is what evaporates water and turns it into clouds that cause rain, so if the ferverment (100% sure i spelt that wrong) was stopping us from aging due to the sun it would also stop the water from evaporating and causing rain on earth.

Just thinking about the firmament and the theories talked about in this, and I am thinking of thick layer of cloud cover that kept UV out, made the ground level atmosphere very oxygenated but also very humid and moisture-heavy so plants didn't need rain because enough water just condensed out of the air every night. But then a comet hit and caused a massive upset that caused high-atmosphere condensation and thus rain, but also massive tectonic upset that caused geysers from underground - so that is water from both above and below coming to flood everything. Afterwards, the breathable atmosphere is far less oxygenated, far less humid, and lets in UV rays. Meanwhile the water all settles in seas, oceans and freezes in polar ice-caps, so it is not like the water went anywhere, it just took a year or so to settle (the time Noah and his family and all the animals were in the Ark).

In my experience, you need the book of Daniel to understand Revelation and vice versa. The books also parallel each other in that Daniel's prophecy ends with "seal up these words" while Revelation says "do NOT seal up these words. Regarding changes to the Bible, the recovery of early AD era manuscripts show effectively no change.

About the giants being back after the flood, it makes sense to me that the theory of a "known world" flood makes sense. You can find a lot on worldwide flood vs local flood. It does explain some things, I'm not sure either way but there are better arguments for it than I initially assumed. It goes along with the theories of pre-adamites, and doesn't necessitate but also is often associated with dual seedline.

There’s too many arguments against a localized flood. I’ve found fossilized sea shells in the woods in western PA over 400 miles from the ocean and on the opposite side of the Appalachian mountains. There are whale bones in the Atacama dessert in Peru and one of the largest mussel beds in the world is in the Himalayas at 16,000 feet in elevation.

In response to Wendigoons comment early on about how understandings get reshaped through history etc. Something a lot of people don't really seem to know is that the early Christians left a significant amount of writing. Christian writings outside of the bible go right back to the beginning with guys like Ignatius of Antioch, Polycarp, Clement of Rome, who knew the apostles personally and were taught by them, and became their appointed successors when the original Apostles died. There are writings from them, and from the generations that followed them right down to modern times. You can literally find what Christians believed, how they understood the Bible, how they worshipped, in every generation from Jesus down to the present day. All you have to do is go back and read what they wrote. Another major point that bears on this topic is that for probably about 1500 years from Jesus on, there was a basic continuity of worldview and belief. The ancient and the medieval world had essentially the same basic worldview, they had a continuity of philosophy etc. Then in the period from around 1300 AD to 1500 AD there was a series of ideas that became dominant that radically changed the entire intellectual / thought life of Europe. Christianity did not escape this change. This change is what created the modern era, and it radically reshaped Christianity along with everything else. This means if you really do want to understand, you need to realize that the worldview you have been raised in, and inundated by, has seriously and fundamental differences from what existed before 1500 AD. If you really want to understand, you need to learn enough about ancient and medieval thought, about their worldview and their philosophy, their cosmology, etc, that you can at least begin to try to step outside of the modern mindset, and see things from an older point of view. In response to neo-feudalism. There are good things about feudalism that we could benefit from today. The main thing being that feudalism was built on organic community ties. In other words, government was a real personal relationship, not an abstract concept removed from the people. you literally knew your ruler and could talk to him personally. You owed him allegiance and service, but he also owed you duties. You had ancestral rights that he had to honor and visa versa. Your ruler personally knew his ruler, and so on and so forth. This created a decentralized system of power in which no one ruler had massive amounts of control over the daily lives of all the people. This is probably the most important issue that moderns proponents of democracy completely miss, the real issue in a free society is not whether you get to vote for your leaders. The real issue in a free society is how much direct control your leaders have over your life. If you have a king you can't vote for, but he has really limited direct control over your life, it is much better than to have a bunch of 'representatives' who you get to vote for, who have absolute control over your life. Also, while it is true that Medieval people didn't move around as much as modern people tend to, and tended to have more ties to an ancestral home. It is kind of a myth that Medieval people didn't travel at all. They did in fact travel what to most people would be a pretty surprising amount. One of the great ironies is found in the comment "probably not a great idea for us all to be serfs of Bill Gates." There is probably a lot more truth in the idea that we are serfs of tech overlords than people realize. I posted this comment on a different episode as well, but since it came up again. The "sorcery" forbidden in the Bible, is literally taking drugs to achieve altered states and spirit communications, essentially visions, divinations and the like. The word in Greek is 'pharmakeia' the same root that we get pharmacy from. God created us for spiritual communion with him, so we have that ability, and he gives us ways to pursue it. Drugs are essentially a means to shortcut and try to achieve mystical experiences without doing the work and the personal growth that ought to be involved.

35:00 the text does not say the highest mountain tops were 15 cubits. The text says the waters rose 15 cubits ABOVE the tops of the highest mountains. So to simplify, say the highest mountains were 300 cubits tall, the waters rose to 315 cubits. I don't get why people misunderstand this. The text is very clear. If my house is 20 feet tall and there's a flood where the water is 25 feet deep, that means the highest point of my house is 5 feet under water. The waters rose 5 feet ABOVE my house.

The Hebrew bible is called the Tanakh, which is a compound of the "T" for Torah (instruction), "N" for Neviim (prophets), and "K" for Ketuvim (writings) Leviathan is paralleled also in Ugaritic Canaanite religion by Litanu, and in Babylonian by Tiamat, and in Egyptian by Apep/Apophis. In a significant number of pagan mythologies the creation story involves the gods creating the human world by subduing a primeval chaos monster, thus bringing order that allows the human world to exist. Leviathan is a parallel to the chaos monsters of the surrounding pagan religions. The creation story in Genesis is somewhat unique in that it doesn't involve God creating by conquest. God does not create the world by conquering chaos or building the world from the slain body of an enemy. The Hebrew writers of the Old Testament, particularly in the Neviim and the Ketuviim, have a habit of using polemical devices where they appropriate the myths of the surrounding nations, particularly the Canaanites. and use them to elevate Yahweh, while throwing shade that the pagan deities. This makes sense, since the Neviim and the Ketuviim were all written after Israel had been living in the land, and were in close contact with the the Canaanites. So for example, the image of God riding on the clouds. This is an image that is taken from Ugaritic mythology of Baal. The Hebrew scriptures are essentially saying "It isn't Baal who rides on the clouds, it's Yahweh". This is at once praising the Glory of God, and also dissing Baal. The same thing is done with Leviathan. In Ugaritic Canaanite mythology Baal slays the great serpent Litanu, in Babylonian it is Marduk who slays the great serpent Tiamat. The Hebrew scriptures take this idea and in Psalm 74 they apply it to Yahweh. It is not those pagan gods who subdue chaos and bring order. It is Yahweh who does this. The image of the storm god / sky god who slays the great serpent, is extremely common in ancient mythology. You could argue from this that there was a real event in which some hero or supernatural being slew a serpent like being. Or, you could argue that myths were an expression of much deeper human experience and thought, and that they use figures to represent ideas like Chaos and Order etc. If you went this way, what you would have is a bunch of pagan deities basically all saying "I am the one who gives you order and keeps chaos at bay. You should worship me." and the God of the Bible answering "No, I am the source of order and I am the one who defeats chaos." It is very interesting that the Genesis creation story does contain some parallels to surrounding pagan stories. For example, in both Babylon and Egypt there are creation myths that involve the world arising out of primordial oceans. Those oceans were another image of chaos, or at least the unordered random universe. In Babylonian myth, in fact, the ocean chaos and the chaos monster/dragon are the same being, Tiamat. This is present in Genesis, but instead of God creating the ordered world by conquering it, we see a progressive ordering by God's word, and the endowing of creation with life by the Holy Spirit. "and the earth was without form and void, and the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters." When it says the earth was without form and void, it is describing a creation that is disordered and lifeless. The preparation for creation is the Spirit of God hovering over the face of the primeval ocean. The six days of creation are a series of bringing greater order, and then imbuing that order with life. On days 1 through 3, God creates realms and applies limits to them that also establish their identities. Night and Day, Heaven and Earth, Water and Land. Then in days 4 through 6, God imbues each of those realms with life and rulers. Sun, Moon, and stars, Birds and fish, land animals and last of all Man. God's bringing of order here is not by conquest, but rather by gift. He creates each thing by setting limits to it, that also establish its identity. He gives each thing to itself. It is all good. The seventh day God rests from creation and seals the covenant of creation with Man. In Hebrew, seven "sheva" is the same word for swearing an oath. To swear a covenant oath is literally to seven yourself. The first place the language of conquest comes into creation is in Genesis 2. Genesis 1 describes the creation of the world before man, culminating with the creation of man. Genesis 2 describes the creation of the world of man. The plants spoken of here are "plants of the field" which is referring to agriculture, and relate to man "tilling the ground". In genesis 2 we see God create the Garden of Eden, which is described in terms that link it directly to the tabernacle and the temple later in the Torah and the Tanakh. What we are seeing here is God creating his original temple, the original place where heaven and earth meet. But then God tells Adam and Eve to go out and subdue the earth and to have dominion. This is conquest language. What this implies is that God created the world, but he did not tame the entire world. He built the perfection of the Garden of Eden as his temple, but it was Man's job as his representative, his priest, prophet, and king, to both tend and keep the garden temple (priesthood) but also to take God's Word out into the world and bring it into order as well, (both prophet and king). That brings up another point. Rather than creating by conquest in Genesis 1. God creates by word. This seems to us, I suspect, mostly to imply God's authority. He just has to speak and it happens. But it should also make us think along these lines... words are expressions of thought. A word is a thought made manifest, almost incarnated we might say. This is why in Greek "Logos" means not only word, but also reason, and a bunch of other related meanings. It is the root were we get "logic" from. Creation by word thus implies that God created the world according to an ordering principle of thought, there is an inherent logic, and principle of reason that gives order to all of creation.

I really like the idea of the events of the Bible being more likely done via what we understand as natural causes. While Aidan talks about the Flood being caused by a meteor impact, I also think of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah as being a meteor storm hitting the twin cities. The miraculous part is the two angels who came to Abraham first, and then to Lot to warn his family to flee. So God sends a meteor shower and sends angels to warn and get the only righteous people in the cities out beforehand. Oh, and also the pillar of salt.

On that passing quip about Antedeluvian people being larger, my church (Seventh-Day Adventist) do believe that the earliest Men - like Adam and Eve and their children - were a lot taller than our average, like being up around 12 foot tall. On the other hand, Adventist beliefs don't being the "Sons of God lay with the Daughters of Men) was angels begetting monster half-breeds, but just the mixing of the devout followers of God mixing with the people who had drifted away from God.

So about the DMT thing…I used to go out of body a lot and I have been saying it’s a separate dimension. It isn’t like I’m going inside my mind, I’m actually leaving this dimension and going to that dimension…and if what those guys said is true, then IVE BEEN RIGHT ALL ALONG! Also wendigoon and i sound like the same person but different gender. I always did that to people in conversations and get the same blank stares lol Anyway where is the link to the DMT crazy people…(which btw that is insane) but I need the link to read the story.

Hmmmm I just realize this but maybe the manna in the wilderness provided for the Israelites was Leviathan. Psalm 74:13-14 KJV [13] Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters. [14] Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.

what if god tried multiple times and had multiple gardens of Eden and nobody knew about other civilizations until after the flood. and what if each one failed to make a perfect human that wouldn't betray god cause unlike the angels humans don't have as much knowledge and therefore question god and betray him each time. I think in some ways it wasn't about free will but to make a creature that has new experiences unlike the angels which know basically everything if not everything

Also side note, there's also another giant snake god called "Shesha (Sanskrit: Śeṣa), also known as Sheshanaga (Śeṣanāga) or Adishesha (Ādi Śeṣa), is the nagaraja or King of all Nāgas and one of the primal beings of creation. In the Puranas, Shesha is said to hold all the planets of the universe on his hoods and to constantly sing the glories of the God Vishnu from all his mouths. He is sometimes referred to as Ananta Shesha, which translates as endless-Shesha or Adishesha "first Shesha". It is said that when Adishesa uncoils, time moves forward and creation takes place; when he coils back, the universe ceases to exist. Vishnu is often depicted as resting on Shesha. Shesha is considered a devotee or bhakt of Vishnu. He is said to have descended to Earth in the human forms or avatars: Lakshmana, brother of Vishnu's avatar Rama during Treta Yuga, and as Balarama, brother of Vishnu's avatar Krishna during Dvapara Yuga. According to the Mahabharata (Adi Parva), his father was Kashyapa and his mother Kadru."

Something to think about, about the way God works: You say He like to work through natural causes. Do you realize that natural and "unnatural" caused are the same? The only difference is we as limited human believe we can explain "natural" causes.

The Prophecy about the line of Israel slaying the serpent and feeding the world is awful reminiscent of the Genesis 3 Prophecy of the seed of woman crushing the head of the serpent, and the promise God made Abraham about the whole world being blessed through his line.
