The Bible Timeline: the 4 Major time periods in Scripture

The Bible covers a long history of the nation of Israel and the beginnings of the Christian movement. It can be tough to wrap your mind around the 2,000+ year saga that the Bible tells, but fortunately for us, Matthew gave us a good way to break it down.
The New Testament begins by splitting the Old Testament events into roughly three chapters (Matthew 1:17), and beginning a new era. These chapters are still useful for understanding the Bible's timeline today.
This whiteboard video will give you a feel for the overall timeline of the Bible by breaking biblical history down into four simple chapters:
1. Abraham to David
2. David to the Babylonian exile
3. Exile to Messiah
4. The age of the Messiah, or "These last days" as some New Testament writers put it.

Micro Preemie Parent: Those are not timelines that this guy describes; rather dispensations (a moral economy for that period of time). Scripture (KJV) teaches three timelines: the time past and the last days (Heb. 1:1-2: KJV) and the latter times (end times; Dan. 8:23, 1 Tim. 4:1), that on the latter times timeline lies a 7-yr period called, the latter days. The latter times (end times) begin when the church collectively comes to the full to believe another gospel, which is not another, and deceives many by that gospel they believe and teach , and then the latter days begin. According to scripture it's in the latter days when tribulation (which is days, not years in length) occurs, as per Deut. 4:30, including Ezekiel's War that takes place at the very end portion of the latter days, as per Ezek. 38: 8, 16. (Revelation is all about what takes place in the end times). Scripture proves the latter times timeline began on Sept. 29, 2008 Elul 29, and that the latter days spans from Sept. 13, 2015 Elul 29 - Sept. 25, 2022 Elul 29, which means these things (and other things) will occur in less than four years from now, for the church has come to the full (a mindset) to believe another gospel. (Understand what the true gospel is, which has been forsaken). God is: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and these Three are one.

For example, there was 1) the dispensation prior to when Mankind sinned in the Garden 2) the Abrahamic Covenant 3) the Ten Commandments (TC) the He gave to His people to do and keep via Moses from on top of Mt. Sinai, which then He ordained animal sacrifices, which was one form of His grace, which was for the breaking His Law, and 4) the dispensation of grace by Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Who took away the Mosaic Law, having nailed it to His Cross. Each 49 year jubilee have one free year as a carryover to a fresh start, and are eguavalent to one 50 yr jubilee with the free year included Seven fold avangence of Cain : 35 yrs in avarage per generation according to the customs of the Jews. 7 fold = 14 folded 14 x 35 years = 490 years and are eguavalent to 500 years with 10 free years and ten x 49yr Jubilees. Total years = 500 years. 500 Anno Adam falls between Jarred and Enoch. Seventy times seven fold Avangance : 7 fold x 70 x 7 fold = 3430 yr. And are eguavalent to 70 x 49 year Jubilees. Add 70 free yrs for 70 Jubilees of 49 yrs and you have 3500 years. Total year between Adam and Jesus is 3500 + 500 = 4000 years in total. Every 490 to 500 years a time is given for a sign. From Adam to Jesus 8 x 500 years. JESUS was the mediator, ore point of return. From Jesus , back to the garden is 8 x 500 years. Returning with 7 times forgiveness, and 70 x 7 forgiveness are eguavalent from Adam to Jesus with 7 fold avengance, than 70 x 7 fold avangance that are 8000 years folded. Than 7 times forgiveness to thy brother , even 70 times 7. The interesting part is , where we inter the 500 yr section of Noah's flood as the first death , this time it would be the second death known as the lake of fire and brimstone. From the flood to Jesus is 2344 years. 4000 - 1656 = 2344 yrs 2344 yrs - the year we are in 2021 amd leaves 323 yrs left for the year of the start of the second death. Why 8000 years? Because one day is for the LORD a 1000 years , and a 1000 years is for the LORD one day. The 7th day is a rest day , but the 8th day is a curry over to a new beginning.

I’m just reading judges and the overall rythm of its first half is that people start worshipping Baal and other gods, then bad things happen since God turns his face away from them. Then a champion/judge/prophet arises and then the land is cleaned up, they repent and God forgives the nation and there is 40 or more years of prosperity and then iterate this many times. October 1992, I a Christian believer, not aware of being an exiled Israelite, I experienced what the prophets wrote about and realized it was an internal experience when I was ready to receive it (hence Kabbalah is RECEIVED knowledge/da'at): For the past 28 years I have been trying to explain how God/Hashem is bringing Ephraim (through whom he gathers the exiled tribes) to make it ONE STICK with Judah (in whom HaShem is born /Yechida): My Christian background made it so easy to understand the true meaning of the Mo'ed choq, the feast days because I experience Jonah who went into his own inner darkness (da'at) to receive the RIGHT direction to explain REPENTENCE for Nineveh (people who don't know their right from their left hand or their animal/body): Before one is connected to their OWN INNER DEPTH, they don't understand how David could say he opened his eyes in hell to see that God was with him: God must be discovered in the deep, the primal part of us to bring LIGHT into it, and from here, a NEW Man is FORMED hence "I FORM the SPIRIT OF MAN within him": From this ROOT, (evil) the GOOD ROOT of the TREE can reform it and bring it to a NEW creation: What is the good root? The Messiah, the LIGHT of the tree of knowledge, which makes it the "TREE OF LIFE" to those who grasp it: so then what is teshuvah? it is the RETURN to the root of your soul, to discover the evil within you as Abraham did in Gen 15, when the light going between his ANIMATE DESIRES, revealed a great darkness in him (the evil root that brings IDOLATRY into the world): THIS evil root is overcome in Abraham and his descendants when they ENTER the DEEP part of their desires, to reveal it. YOUR OWN DEAD MEN"S BONES, your own inner death so you can RISE in the POWER of the Resurrection so your soul will not be hurt of the second death where everything is cast into the lake of fire: WHAT is the lake of fire? I know it was just an overview but you missed something BIG. The apostle to the gentiles. The apostle who started the body of Christ - 1 Tim 1:16. The apostle who was saved by God's grace, who brought us the words of Jesus Christ that we can all (Jew and Gentile) be saved by faith alone in Christ alone. Eph 2:8-9, Titus 3:5-6 No works, no law, no covenant and no Jews needed. This is the most important message that we could know about the bible. Faith in Christ for our salvation.

For a few reasons: 1. Matthew's treatment of the OT and NT time periods is brilliantly simple, and contains most of the biblical narrative. 2. My aim here is to give people who are not familiar with the Bible a good overview of the whole narrative. So while I explicitly mention that the Bible begins with the beginning of time, from an educational standpoint, it seems cruel to walk beginners through the Bible at that level of granularity. If I were to get into Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Noah and the Ark, and the Tower of Babel, I would need to maintain a similar level of detail throughout the Bible's events-and that's just too much to put into this brief video. =) 3. I speak on these events in plenty of other videos!

I thought the law is a mediator not a covenant but a covenant was made with Moses. And you left out the promise God gave to Son before the foundation of the world and promise with Adam and Eve. I encourage you to read the Bible, there are very easy to read versions in modern English. Like the NLT. In the Old Testament, God made His people offer healthy animals in perfect condition without blemish and the firstborn of the animals to be offered in the Temple so that their blood would cleanse their sins. Lambs were just one of those animals offered, there were birds and oxen, etc. But their blood cleansing of sins was temporary, they needed to keep doing this over and over. So when God offered His Son as a lamb, this cleansed our sins once and for all. There’s no need to keep presenting animals to the Temple. To do that would be to negate what Jesus did on the cross. But you’re right, I often ask myself, if Jewish people don’t believe Jesus is the Messiah, then why aren’t they bringing animals to their Temples as sacrifices to cleanse their sins, or are they doing this and I’m not aware of this? 🤦‍♀️ Lol.

Just to clarify: 1. Abraham one guy who loves his wife who hasn't been able to pop out not even one baby starts this whole ball rolling. Like the man that He is, accepts responsibility and seeks a solution from a Higher power. 2. Moses comes from the water... ends up in a dry place but that's not God's ideal plan. (lots of paper folding takes place) Meanwhile, M guy, who hates paper folding, is sent away past #4 on business. 3. Oops, looks like things get a little messi here. And we're not talking football.

I need clarity on when Moses took over Abraham position before the children of Israel crossed the Jordan river to the promise Land. I know Joshua took the children children of Israel across the river 40 years after being in the wilderness. Am I confusing the events between Moses and Abraham? Didn't Moses help the people in Egypt free? Were there two sets of children who crossed the river? Thanks for your time..
