@@isag4411 yeah u are absolutely right , leonard was also bullied badly in his school also he was a not a " genuine genius " Instead he was a curious hardworking child and unlike sheldon's mom , his mom was not that much of a good caring and loving , affectionate mother for her own son. Sheldon atleast, when he got bullied or was very much upset hence he used to sit alongside with his young beautiful mother and listened to her narration of various childhood biblical stories of truth, respect,kindness, belief which made him kept going through his unique phases of childhood development .

It's interesting how Sheldon describes his parents and Georgie and Missy all through TBBT, in Young Sheldon I haven't seen any evidence of the traits in those characters so far over five seasons, Sheldon for the most part seemed to have had a pretty normal family life considering. Only recently in Season Five have some of the elements described in TBBT have been coming into the storylines. I never once saw Sheldon and Missy go round and round as little kids like adult Missy eluded to when she visited Sheldon, nor I have seen Missy call Sheldon "Shelly" like she does as an adult (I guess it's an adult thing between them) and George Sr. seems like a caring father especially towards Missy.

Actually it’s pretty accurate in regards to how often his parents are fighting and the dumb decisions Georgie makes, like not wearing a condom while having sex. I gotta say Leonard saying that Sheldon should “just get over” his trauma is very insensitive and completely contradicts everything we know about dealing with psychological trauma in therapy. People who have such deep-seated levels of unresolved trauma need therapy to help them process and learn to cope with the trauma. While you’re mostly correct- Leonard also has intense emotional trauma from his childhood due to an absent father and a very Narcissistic mother. I’m sure he was told over and over and over and OVER again to “just get over it”. And for him, he thinks it worked, bc he’s a mostly functional adult. Never mind that he struggles with setting boundaries of any kind, is constantly desperate for attention and validation from those he sees as superior to him, and sacrifices his own happiness and peace of mind just to placate everyone else around him. So while yes, it is very insensitive for Leonard to say this to Sheldon, I do think it comes from a place of “I was never given sympathy, empathy, or help, for my struggles, so just deal like the rest of us!” And that’s actually not uncommon. For people who have intense trauma, but do what they can to suppress/overcome it (without truly processing and releasing it), when they see someone else mixing in the thick of their trauma, it almost always generates anger and resentment. Bc it tears at that sense of internal justice- “How come they get to express their pain and I can’t?” It’s not necessarily “fair” from an objective point of view, but it is a real phenomenon that happens.

Penny and Leonard were both very unfair to Sheldon this whole episode, Leonard said himself that Sheldon doesn’t like fighting, so he and Penny should have had their arguments out of the apartment where he didn’t have to see them or be in the middle of them, and Penny got her friend Justin to sleep on the couch in Sheldon and Leonard’s apartment with Sheldon just to make Leonard happy. I love how they act like his parents from time to time, but this was a bad example of parenting and proof that neither of them are ready to be parents yet; especially Leonard for two things he says in this scene: Leonard: Always is a long time. Leonard puts up with a lot from Sheldon, yes, but if he hadn’t been living with Sheldon all these years he never would have met Penny and be with her, he should be grateful to Sheldon in that respect. Secondly, Leonard: So you have childhood issues - we all have childhood issues! At some point you just need to grow up and get past them. Says the guy who has many unresolved childhood issues with his mother and complains about them every now and again: Leonard’s a hypocrite!

But they will have to do it soon because if I recall correctly, George is suppose to die in a few years seeing as George suppose to die when Sheldon’s 14 (he states that to Bernadette’s dad in season 7 episode 4 if I recall correctly). He went to college at 11 (Lenard states it in season 1), and we’re already at that point NOW in season 4. So assuming that each season is 1 year passed, it means that it HAS to happen in the 5th or 6th season, then have the eventual death by either the end of season 6 or somewhere around seasons 7 if it ever reaches that point into the series. They WILL HAVE to do it that way or else the longer they put it off, the less they make sense.
