I was watching this video because I am a Marth main and so I watch a lot of PewPewU's games. Yet all I could think about while watching this was how much I miss Hax's Falcon lol.

This really blows my mind. Hax played an incredibly technical Falcon and was able to show how bad ass the character really is. He is so exciting to watch and even though I love the fox, the falcon was like no other. Right here, Hax almost looks like the fastest player alive

The year is 2022 Hax is still on fox but switched to a pad PP and Armada left the game for good M2k comes back every 2 years to take a break again after johning about something Mango is considered the goat for his longevity at the top and because Armada retired Hbox is a smash ultimate/variety streamer on twitch but still plays melee competitively, he's washed but still places well Leffen won the last melee Evo in 2018 and is currently stuck in Sweden because of an ongoing pandemic A player from MDVA by the name of Zain is number 1 A lot of melee tournaments are played online with the use of rollback 20XX is still in progress I'll see you in 5 years

I'm a newcomer to competitive Melee, and I'm curious as to when to use wavedashing and when to use dashdancing. It seems as though Hax often uses wavedash-back-and-forth as an alternative to dashdancing, very smoothly I might add. How do I choose which to use in the moment? Or is just good to mix it up all the time? Thanks.

+evening ninja it can be either preference or whatever is optimal to the situation, a dash dance back can be better as you can get more distance faster than wavedash back if there is an attack coming out, and can also lead into either a dash back or a short hop bair if needed, which cant be done with a wavedash back without more input, while a wavedash back and be just enough to outspace the opponent and lead into much more as it can be a faster punish. it is generally good to mix it up, but a dash dance will lead into a more variety of spacing while a wavedash back has a tighter window

+evening ninja Dash Dancing is generally baiting your opponent, as well as false flags, you can dash dance in, do an empty short hop, and just dash back, leaving them unaware of what you have planned, as to where wavedashing is used for mobility in certain characters, but positioning in most, you can wavedash in or out accordingly to make sure a hit box connects (To where if you didnt wavedash your hit would whiff). I use wavedashing 9/10times for positional advantage. Exe. You can wavedash away from a character about to do get up attack, wait out the get up attack, then punish accordinly, because you now have a good position, hope i helped :D

You've clearly never played either of them. PewPewU is one of the top mental players in Norcal because of his mindgames. Hax has a myriad neutral game mixups that he uses. This match is 100% high level when it comes to punishment and reads.
