We take our 2nd DEEP DIVE into THE BIG PUSH !! Continuing where we left off from our last street performance aka BUSKIN REACTION !! Ren and his band " The Big Push " Play what turned out to be a legendary performance as they perform their own REN-DITION of the famous " Black Sabbath" song " WAR PIGS".

Hey Strawhat Fam !! This was a very special episode for us. Our Grandma passed away last January, a month before we decided to start putting out reaction videos, and BLACK SABBATH was her favorite band of all time. She was a true New Yorker, with a sailors mouth, charming, with a heart of gold and we miss her so much, thats why we decided to dedicate this EPISODE TO OUR GRANDMA. With that being said, after our last video covering " The Big Push " we kept getting non stop request in the comments to cover this performance of "War Pigs" by " The Big Push ". It turns out this was from the same day as the performance we covered in our last video and it was quite amazing to watch, we could only imagine what it must have felt like for those who were there live !! Thank you all again for your love and support, we are trying out best to get more of these videos out to you, and we will start going LIVE more often and covering your reaction request as well as performing some music of our own. In an interview, Ren said that he is a perfectionist and spends many hours mixing the sound for both The Big Push’s and his own busking videos. A few years ago, he commented on the recording process on one of TBP’s other busking videos when someone how asked how they achieved such great sound. Here is what he said: “Line inputs running from each of the busking amps into a H4N recorder. Then the H4N condenser mic placed in front of the amps to capture the ambience of the street. Then another iPhone mic recording the drums (just set on voice recorder). Then mix all that together in post on Logic with some light compression and EQ to make everything pop, and voila!”

I love those little h4n zooms, friend uses one on gigs we do, but usually via two pzm's as overhangs, placed in the well experimented with correct spots, it's quite amazing the quality of sound. Especially when messed about with via his toys in his real studio. Yes, Labour of love, that can be painstaking, but, great fun. Would always recommend recording everything you can if in a band, including lone practice. Great little tool well worth the investment...look at what Ren got out of it. Love it. So glad these performances were recorded and videod. It doesn't have to cost a fortune. Will be buying my own to play with soon.

One of the best Ren reactors out there atm boys. You understand a lot and are so talented yourselves. They lined out local amps and vocal PA. Put other mics around the the spot to capture the enviroment. Had an IPhone on drums for example. Dont forget Ren been mixing and producing since he was a baby. This was filmed in Brighton (South East Coast) of England. It’s Rens English home city. Ren moved from his home country of Wales to Brighton, England & busking on the streets of Brighton with The Big Push, was where they were noticed & grew their viral fan base. I live in Brighton & have been so lucky to watch The Big Push a few times… I’ve never seen a busking band so popular that the police had to close the road to allow all the fans to soak up the music & atmosphere!! 🤘🏼

Have you guys seen Ren's chapters of this last week? He describes in great detail his situation, how he became ill, what treatments he tried, what happened to the Sony record deal... His personal life described thoroughly.. Including the guys he met becoming the Big Push' and his band before that. His story is heartbreaking. I love and respected him before, but damn... The man is here for a purpose!

So bus game is really how Ren made it. Someone posted a video on Facebook and the popular Mexican restaurant page that went viral had like several million views I forgot what Sawyer was but it was like a 1940s cover of Vera something. I forgot her last name. But blind eye, that he wrote with Sam Tompkins you guys probably have seen it where he’s wearing the dolphins jersey that song really went viral, and had millions of views from all around the world and he said even Elton John was talking about it on his radio show. That song changed his life for him and Sam, the other Sam, that shoots their videos. so you guys and posting it on Facebook and Twitter is probably a good idea. What part of New York City are you from? I’m garbage Island originally but now reside on the jersey side. Sometimes he does look like Kurt Cobain another time he looks like John Wick. So do you know what the first 10 seconds of the French guys solo is what song? I’ll give you a clue it’s from the same singer as war pigs. Damn, you hit it you know your Ozzie! He’s nasty on the guitar though. And you know how nasty Ren is on the guitar. You definitely have to watch bingo bongo where he sings in French and Ren is singing in English.

I think its important to bear in mind...and I hope this doesn't come across as pedantic semantics, that this isn't Ren's band. Its a brilliant band Ren was in, but, not HIS band, if that make sense. Obviously with Ren, highly desevedly, blowing up right now, its easy to slip into thinking it was his band, rather than him being an equal quarter of a fantastic band of 4 great players. Totally understand, of course, why you and many others call it Ren's band, though. 👍

Bingo Bongo on the Rooftop is a unique killer song! Half English half French. The big push covers this song amazingly I like it better than the original. And also their song heart attack is the last one that they recorded together probably about eight months ago. At this point that’s an original check that out. By the way, the French part of the song the guitarist sings. Not rent or the bass guitarist the lead guitarist.

Feed me Break :) This may seem like a silly question but here goes, Is Popping and Robot Considered a branch of Break, or are they distinctly different disciplines I've become a little fascinated with Break Dance, I don't know anything about the history but the techniques are very similar to Male Gymnastic Floor Exercise to me, There would be a lot of crossover skills.

We would say popping vs breaking would be considered different dances from each other for sure with different foundations. However they’re definitely from the same culture and movement, so they share a lot of similar concepts and philosophies. You can consider them cousins from the same family, that’s why you’ll find many Bboys who can pop and many poppers who can break , Hope this shed some light !!
