Don't see any problems. All the minor issues are user errors.

You really shouldn't have the flattop chain on there. Supposedly the sram flattop chain has different size rollers only compatible with the newer SRAM road xdr cassettes. I doubt that ztto cassette is using the new roller profile. It's probably going to work ok but could wear faster, maybe cause other issues I've never actually seen anyone test one. I'd use a SRAM 12 speed eagle chain or a Shimano or other brand.

Thanks for the info, it was literally the only one available at the time so I went for it. I guess it's a good test to see but I'll likely swap it out 👍🏼 - cheers for commenting

Yep was going to say this. Might also improve shifting with a Shimano compatible 12 speed chain.

Beautiful bike, mate. Next bike has to be steel one. I checked many videos and everyone said that feeling of the steel bike is the best ever. Electronic eRX Ltwoo Groupset is coming too therefore you have planty of work to do. We'll keep pushing the like button. 😁

Those EC90 saddles look good but are hideously firm and Gravel kings have always been a pain to fit but are great once installed. In general rule of thumb terms, no bike is straight forward to build "there's always something".

I don't know, but I see videos like that, extremely detailed, talking about one difficulty or another in the assembly, in the adjustment and that these are situations that also happen with famous brands... but with famous brands, the videos out there are always cute, with relaxing music and titles like: dream bulding... but still, videos like yours are very valid because they promote the products, test them, point out flaws, errors and good things! Deep down, it seems to me that everyone is somehow trying to discredit non-traditional products... the only way to have new products, more accessible or not, is for new brands to invest, correct mistakes and keep investing... SRAM recently launched its new group, I saw several channels saying that they buried shimano... in the end that's it, particular taste prevails, particular opinion... all products are good or can be improved! What is the unbelievable difference between a dura-ace and a 105? A really absurd difference? Even a shimano dealer will talk, just the weight of the product... Sorry for my terrible English...

The "dream build" videos you're talking about are always a short glimpse of a pro mechanic building 10th identical bike in a row for a team, with tools beyond your wildest dreams. Absolutely incomparable with videos from Jourdain's garage.

I've built my first road bike using 105 rim groupset and used time frame. With decent 1200g chinese carbon wheels total weight is under 6.8kg. And total price is below $2000. I'm super happy. My only complaint is handlebars. I'd like something like coefficient instead. But the price is too steep.
@williamko4751 Жыл бұрын
@@5gvaccinator343 I think you still can get a carbon frame with 105 rim for $2000. Why build?
@IronHorsey3 Жыл бұрын
@@5gvaccinator343 - Yeah those coefficient bars are sweet but when you see the price, it makes you ill. A little tilt on the brake levers matching your shoulder width can make you forget about all that though. Worked for me. Your Time frame matched with the 105 rim groupset sounds awesome!

Nice entertaining tinkering. But your logic is sometimes very bad, not only in this Video. Why do you think that not getting all gears in the dry workshop to count for will be a problem tonsolve on the fly...you like to torture yourself. Check hanger alignment maybe...or the indexing is crap. Or you messed up the Limit screws adjustments...who knows. Or the issues with the front deraileur...again not only in this build. Cheers
@IronHorsey3 Жыл бұрын
You cheated bro, you didn't torque the seat rails on the new bike seat. You think we're just going to forget about it after this saga? Also, you didn't even grace us with an inaugural ride at completion. Milking clicks on this saga is fine but the rule is once completed, maiden voyage no matter how short and a departure comment. Bon Voyage and hope this thing doesn't explode like the Titanic. Personally, I would like to have seen your adjustment on the big (low) gear. But I know you can't have everything.
