The BIGGEST Golf Grips You Can Buy: Jumbo Max XL - Great or Mistake?

Why did you get the XL? That's insane. What glove size are you? Try em again with the jumbomax size recommendation.

@@jamesmc81 honestly I’m thrilled I’m back to regular midsize. I’ve finally adopted a true neutral grip and my contact is amazing right now. But if I go searching again in the future I might go that route.

I use the JumboMax STR 8 XS. I tried the larger size and lost some control but I loved the grip. That is why I bought the smaller size and absolutely LOVE THEM!! I regained more control, and get the benefit of how great the grip feels!! Try the XS and you will never use any other grip.

@@richardsiles8206 so glad it was helpful. I’m really enjoying the Karma grips. Surprisingly they almost seem to get tackier over time which is both weird and good.

Mine have not worn well at all . Two rounds and the driver ( 30 drives ) at my club . And it has started to peel already in the middle of the grip . So I don’t know how good long term . But in saying that , my game has improved out of site . Much more control,feel and comfort.

You should give this another shot and buy the correct size use the online fitter and purchase the ultralights to help with your elbow pain and the grips won’t be as heavy which was one of your cons not to mention the alignment on the ultralights are way better than the tour series it will also help you with your pull issue but that is more of a swing path and club face issue rather than the grip you are using ball position can also be the reason you are hitting pulls

@@BTD-FG I agree it would be worth another shot with proper fitting. However, at the moment I’m using regular midsize grips and playing great so I won’t be messing with it right now 👍🏻

Fair enough definitely worth a shot in the future they do make standard size grips as well you don’t have to go for the super over sized ones standard jumbos honestly felt the best imo but I play the mediums strictly based on performance and numbers

I just switched to the jumbo max "small" still very big imo. Been using them 2 weeks. Off the bat I didn't really like them, and I still don't. I'm giving them a couple more weeks and then taking them off if they don't get better. It didn't improve anything for me, but added elbow pain in my lead arm every time I swing them. I go to a regular grip and swing hard no pain, swing the jumbo max elbow pain. I have a problem with a hook, my typical iron swing is 10* in to out. It basically gave me a huge push slice with a driver cause I couldn't close the face and my irons and wedges some days I hit them good, some days and leave the face WIDEEE OPEN and can't close it. Other days I still have a hook. I have a foresight so I know what's going on.

Give the ultralights a try and get the extra smalls everyone buys the tour series then has problems with them being too heavy and having pain the ultralights will solve your problem and you will be more consistent than ever

I'm using the SM Ultralite, swing weight stayed the same as regular grip. Fits fine in the golf bag no issues. Ball flies straight as an arrow, no complaints what so ever. Best decision ever.

@@GolfQuestChannel Thanks for the reply. I asked a club maker about the grips he recommended the Ultralites because of the swing weight stays the same. You should give them a try.

I have the mediums non tapered. No issue in or out of the bag. Also mine are lighter than my previous cp2. Why did you go with XL?

You never mentioned your hand size. I have seen people try these that were a small glove. I can't even fit into most 2xl gloves. I use the xl but could see myself using straight 8 in a large might be better. That is why they offer different sizes.

My glove size is either a ML or Large. I know now I should have tried a smaller JumboMax grip but I didn't want to end up with something not all that different from regular Jumbo grips that I have tried in the past. In hindsight a mistake.

they have alot of sizes a medium is 5/16 +ssmall 1/4" and an xs is still bigger than a jumbo@@GolfQuestChannel

I had terrible pulls/hooks after getting a new iron set, fixed immediately by bending them 2 degrees flat. Straight as an arrow now

Follow the jumbomax to glove size chart. The XL is way to big. Bryson has a completely different swing the way he holds the grip. If you don't want to change your swing then be conservative with jumbomax sizing. I'm a small glove and use their xs. Their xs is still 2mm bigger than a jumbo from golf pride! And watch the weight. They have lots of choices.
