If you are worried about a 300m dive watch being in 2m of water, dont buy a dive watch.
@ewan_ou18222 күн бұрын
I only buy dive watches, purely because they are so versatile. My fav is the Omega 43.5mm, but I love my IWC Aquatimer, although I had previously used my Tag Aquaracer 500m as my go to watch. I never need to, nor do I want to hesitate or worry about them being emerged into water. Its why i bought them! Enjoy your watches - every day.

Just enjoy your watch. If you're locking it in the hotel safe because the crown might be open even though you've checked, that's OCD, my friend. Time for some Paxil. Or just get a Mido Multifort with the cork aquadura seal. You can wind, pull out crown, and set under water with those.

I come from the military and double check everything. I will dive in and have a great time. It reminds me of Rolex's bunch that don't go out with it afraid of being robbed. @mrb659727 күн бұрын
@@actraiser123 No. I mean people, for example, like a guy who wears a Rolex Deepsea at their office on the 50th floor of their Manhattan office building. And then goes on vacation to Las Vegas. It looks ridiculous

Why is that a problem? My mother cannot swim at all but wears her Seamaster 300 with pride and joy. Dive watches, at least many of them, look good and are more robust than other watches. So even if you don't swim or dive they are good everyday watches.
@Harry-tb8yo20 күн бұрын
@@mrb6597 Is it less ridiculous to wear a watch with lower WR then? Does a Submariner or Seamaster with 300m of WR cope better with the harsh conditions in Vegas? And on the 50th floor in Manhattan?
@Harry-tb8yo20 күн бұрын
There are only two things I don't do with my Seamasters (got three of them): sleeping and doing physical work. When I sleep I don't need to track time and when I do physical work a watch disturbs me. When I visit my sisters family however and head to the pool it's always them who are concerned: "Oh no! Your watch!" And I never have to double check for the crown because it is always screwed down after adjusting it.

I've had my Rolex for almost 40 years. Put it through hell in high water. Yes, once it cost me about $2000. I forgot to tighten the Crown, Swimming in mexico, but it wasn't a dive watch. It was a GMT MASTER Pepsi.. And of course, I got salt water in it.. So I sent it to Rolex. They gave me brand new works for about two thousand dollars. I was lucky, I knew the jeweler who had some connections with Rolex...? Lessons learned. It was still nice for Rolex to honor that for me. Now, in today's day and age, cleaning for my watch.It's almost two thousand dollars..😊🙄 And of course, the watch is 5 times the price then what I paid.😊.. Pros and cons of owning an expensive watch. I still put it through hell and high water..😅. Only d*** watch I will ever own.😊
