Honestly Im thrilled about the no hunt in the custom difficulty. Why? My wife loves playing with me, but hates hunts so we don't play much. But now we can play together, get spooked, but with no threat of dying!

yeah I'd love some observation duty stuff that unnerves you, like large objects moving when you're not around. Also more ghost events would be amazing, a small chance for the ghost to actually appear behind you when it says "behind" on the spirit box, things like that.

Just a note 32:25 They won't change prison and highschool switch breaker because both maps will receive the same treatment as the asylum so it's pointless work on something that will be removed in the future, that's my guess.

@@Avienne557 The Asylum now even if you remove the part of it can be divided by 5 small maps the design is very well done like someone really worked on it the rest of the houses maps just look like assets ready from unity, so I hope to se the same treatment on every map and instead of a tidy good looking house it could turn 2 or 3 of them in abandoned houses like from Resident Evil 7 and also new maps in day time like afternoon also looks creepy seen the light coming from an dirty old house full of trash around on the floor and most of the furnish all rotted =)

Sunny Meadows is cool and all, but I think the real changes here are the Maple Lodge updates. Maple was such a frustrating map, and I've been avoiding it for so long because of its problems, but two simple adjustments and a fix sound like they'll change the map feel completely.

Just clarifying, all of this is early access stuff that Insym (and possibly other content creators) has. I don't believe he mentioned it yesterday, because he said the update was "coming out" tomorrow (meaning the 26th), but it actually releases tomorrow, the 27th, 7 AM EST.

I'm a little sad about the photos no longer getting a multiplier - all the crazy people that let their crucifixes get eaten will get the most rewards. That feels like a change from the 'lucky to have found it' vs. 'reward the risk takers', because Dirty Water won't be as available on some maps.

I think it's fair, since the multiplier affects your objectives, which should be a priority anyway, so that way you're not forced into taking photos if you don't like it as much.

I thought because it is the biggest update in Phasmo there will be new ghosts like maybe a ghost name I knew about recently in and thinking about as well from the folklore of ****** I’ll mention it so the developers can take it without the risk of stealing an idea from someone like me so yeah I just want new ghosts to see the idea of them if you know what I mean but nonetheless I really like the new update overall like it must be 9/10 if not 10/10 this update’s rating will be but I’ll be surprised if some mad people think this update is the worst update to come just because of something got removed fixed or add that ruins their gameplay in anyway and I personally been there in other games but Phasmo I can’t hate it especially when they honoured the game by adding Jinns and never directly nerf them and let them be but probably they will nerf Jinns at some point and I’ll be mad about but I’ll understand it but they should let one ghost at least take Jinn’s place like Poltergeists because in real life and in movies they are powerful so I don’t see how or why they won’t be powerful in a game was and still meant for paranormal experience well I’d like to Polter be strong or the strongest ghost for at least a month not mentioning **** **** **** ghosts because where these ghosts came folklore or mythology whatever they are strong like ***an and that’s all peace.

I wish the custom mode allows players to increase the max limit of players in the lobby and maybe even allow one player to play as the ghost (he gets to choose his ghost type and the game prompts him to use his abilities to interact around the map)

I never noticed an issue with keyboard/mouse controls but my brother plays with a controller and he complained that the buttons aren't consistent for placing and picking up. So he will be very happy that they fixed this. The summoning circle thing would really only affect single player. For multiplayer you can just have different people walk up and light different candles so that no one person would drop below 16%.

With the summoning circle you can light 4/5 candles - Then take 1 pill bottle - Then light the last one to get a ghost photo

Rip trying to find the difference between Poltys and Onis. They're the big two throw ghosts, and now since Polty is now the big thrower and Oni is more menacing, its a sad day for that pair no longer being together. Also I hope Goryo and Obake get significant buffs or nerfs as they're pretty unusual. The thing that gets me a bit urked is Jinn getting a huge buff in his sanity drain while Yurei is still stuck with his weak version, at least make his a little more potent or more frequent? Also lol fingies nerf, yay dirty water buff, rip spin doors pocket candles and ceiling candles, and lmao Edgefield toilets.

You could be strolling along with your pal and BOOM--door slams in your face, separating you two, and you get to figure out which wing the ghost is hunting in. This is going to be SO fun

28:55 the photos are scored based on distance from the camera and from the middle of the shot, not by the monetary reward. Without the explicit ghost priority, your example would make the photo count as footsteps. The previous ranking seemed to prioritize temporary phenomena, such as footsteps or interactions, over permanent ones like cursed possessions. The old systems would still make more sense than raw monetary value like what you thought it was.

I just played the new update (I didn't read about the changes to the ghosts until now), and I got instantly hunted by a demon on Camp Woodwind. This was the first time it ever happened to me, so they really did keep their word on upping the reliability of the demon's ability to hunt above 70%.

I'm really glad that the devs will actually ban people who abuse the report system(and just ban hacking). Microsoft should take notes for how they treat Minecraft's reporting system. Although we have yet to see the execution, I definitely trust the devs given their dedication to the game and fanbase.

I think the summoning circle instant hunt if you light the last one when under 16% sanity maybe means that lighting each candle will either use less or no sanity to do, which will require a test to verify.

I do think a lot of games tend to stay in "early access" way too long. The Steam page says they plan to fully release in late 2022 / early 2023...we'll see. The difference between early access and a released game still getting updates is pretty vague anyway. At least it's not as egregious as all those perpetually unfinished Patreon supported projects you have to continue supporting to get access to the single tiny update per year.

The old garage base had two ghosts. One on the ceiling and the pajama girl behind the door. They were added in Halloween and were fan favourites so they decided to keep them there. So they're more than likely what that's in reference to.

Just because it won't render doesn't mean it's not there It would be like hiding a layer in an art program and adding a multiply layer over it The new layer still affects the one below it, you just can't see the layer below until you activate it

Not much complaints abt the changes except the change to placement does irk me. I guess it's to help remedy how slow it is it place a cam without a tripod. However tripods being placed and rotated feels slower than just dropping it. Also summoning circle and music box nerf.

Your comment about needing to bring the items back or lose them being stupid COULD be made into a modifier with a penalty for each item left behind. Imagine it. You've just done an insanely hard stage, but now you need to go back and retreive your gear when a super pissed off ghost is roaming around. It would be a great optional toggle.
