There's a part of me that will miss the old lobby. I remember when I bought my little sister the game, and showing her the lobby. "Turn around, go open those lockers..." I said. She walked over and, after some difficulty, pulled the right one open, nothing. Then, she turned to the left one and began pulling it open when something pushed against the door from the inside and she stopped, turning around and giving me a "Why do you do this to me?" look. Her face when the skeleton fell out was priceless.

If the bell sound is global, it could be pretty damn useful for if you're dead in multiplayer. You can lead your teammates to the ghost room if it moves or help them find the breaker and stuff.

It’s probably a reference to the trailer where you can have all six cursed possessions in custom difficulty but it’ll be cool if they actually put a hidden Easter egg when you used all items then use the summoning circle. Also 26:30 is the mortuary.

I remember I played in the old lobby like 3 years ago when I first got a VR, and I love it. Played a few times and then didn't play for a super long time. When I got back on, this new lobby was so cruddy to me but in all honestly, it's so much nicer, and made the inventory and menus look so much better. Wish the charm of the OG was still there though

About night vision, Night vision only enhances the given light so in a place with no light or anything along those lines night vision would also be dark.

Either way, you're correct that in absolute no light situations they can't see, but they are usually accompanied by an IR illuminator to help the night vision see, while keeping the environment dark.

Every last one of my friend group, even my one friend with a insanely beefed PC, all had slight performance issues on the new asylum. It's not unplayable, but the jitters and strange (seemingly) random yet brief frame drops were definitely super noticeable and not just because of our specs (as we vary wildly in our PCs, ranging from shitty prebuilds to future-proofed builds with middling or "good enough") as we all experienced similar issues at different times completely separate from each other.

i think a really awesome addition would be if you do things like ring the bell, it pisses off the ghost if they can hear it and they come to you or they hunt. Things that can give away your locations, should.

i am either crazy or idk but at 16:41 once he turns at the door it looked like someone was peaking but it could be the shadow since he has the flashlight, one more at 31:41 when he says "this is blocked off entirely" and turns i can see something crawling (also i just noticed it better in the nightvision camera,it's something black,could be something on the floor?). I actually think that eerie silence is more creepy than the constant humming sound. I think they should focus on actual ambient sounds like wood creaks, water drips, window pane sounds, echoes, floor squeaks, etc. to make it more realistic and scary.

Personally preffer the ultra quietness of sunny meadows more! The silence is so deafening when you are running around the halls just waiting to hear something, anything. Sometimes hearing a quiet cry for help. And then suddenly, the ghost charges at you First time on the new map was probably the scariest moment ive ever had in the game. I was playing with my friend and just checking out the map. Were 3 sections in when we thought we needed to get some sanity pills. My friend loves to use the para mic, just for fun and was using it on our adventure. And we were just on the stairs close to the main lobby. So we were heading to the door when we suddenly hear the "click" of the door shutting. Now we knew where the ghost room was already, and it was in the far back of the asylum so we thought we were safe. My friend pointed the para mic in the direction of the ghost room. And began just counting "10. 15. 21. 40 50 100 1000" And suddenly, the ghost was right next to us. Came out of nowhere! I cant stress enough how creepy it was to just stand in the silence, hearing him just saying the numbers out loud. Knowing that at any moment the ghost can just come charging at you. We somehow outran it and survived the encounter. But god damn if it was not scary The reason the ghost was able to find, and the reason we could outrun it was because it was a deogen. We did not know that at the point in which it came charging at us...

The dense droning, humming background sound in buildings, is very most likely the ventilation systems running still. Waiting yet for them to let us use BOTH ( could choose main be left/ right too ) hands in non-VR. Less tedious carrying items forcexample. Still gonna be a challenge with a " limited items to carry " option for Custom and/ or baked in the standard difficulty settings. No excuse not to. I'll be waiting for THAT update

I really like it that the background noise got removed for the new map. I feel like there should be an option for it to turn it on or out. Because imo its way scarier without it, since it really doesn't make that much sense + other scary sounds are way more immersive that way (or you can say, the background noise removes the immersion, especially if you walk in and out of the house)

Sunny meadows restricted is still quite large. Played with a buddy. We had that middle area, then slipped off to the right side with the surgery tables and such. Some reason there's a locking door there between the areas and the ghost never seemed to wander into the middle. I felt like it kept wandering off into parts of the map that were locked off. Also you can glitch out of the lobby with the balloons. I only managed it once, but if you push them into a corner, sometimes it'll launch the balloon and you and I got outside with it. Wasn't much, just the truck and abyss

I haven't played in months, but one feature or game mode I'd like is a pre-investigation setup. Where you setup your equipment before nighttime, like in ghost hunting shows. It's also a good way to safely explore the house and gather information from the home owners on what rooms may be highly active.
