Fun Institutional Racism Fact: I'm a lifelong Mavs fan. In the 1986 Draft the Mavs were highly expected to pick Karl Malone with Cleveland's #7 overall pick. However, Mavs' GM Norm Sonju nixed it, saying the team needed more white players. Thus, the Detlef Schrempf pick. The Mavs lived (benefited) from racism and they died by racism.

I cried for sure. I had never seen a Cleveland championship 2016 was special. Honestly if it wasn’t for the Trevor Bauer drone incident I say the Indians would’ve won the World Series. Alas they hadn’t won a WS since early 1900s the baseball gods gifted them salvation.

All I can say is wow, that “owner” was every bit delusional. There was no signs he actually wanted a winning team, he just wanted to say he owned a team lol
@mrmacross3 жыл бұрын
Liked. Every owner wants to brag about owning a team, and all of them want to win, but maybe only 1-2% are willing to win if they don't make a profit. The first team that comes to mind is the 2004 AZ Diamondbacks who lost 111 games after a dominant five-year run, just two seasons after winning 98 games and the division, and three after winning the World Series.
