Jeff ! 💯 the metal always look so clean ! Why. Even some of these coin's from government mint do not look as clean as some of the products you put out . The shine & pop to them they just jump out at me !

Do you make these bars for people or just for yourself

Oh gosh, I wish I got to keep it all! 😁 I most of my work goes to members of a private group called GoldBugs. But I'm starting to reach more folks lately. Please email me at lithicmetals@gmail.com if you'd like to discuss a piece or two.

I am getting sludge from my electric furnace when pouring my silver. Practiced 50 times tonight pouring 10oz bars and white hard stuff just keep clunking out and covering the top of the bar, any suggestions?
@LithicMetals Жыл бұрын
Yes. Use a melt dish instead. But if you're going to stick with the furnace, you'll have to have more silver in the crucible than you'll want in a pour. Like, if you're going to pour a 10oz bar, have 14oz melted. Then, pour your desired amount, stopping before the slag pours out. You have to get use to eyeballing the weight.

Where did you get your lithic stamp by chance

By a company that's no longer in business. I'm on the hunt for a new maker.

Where did the silver come from for today's bar? Customer, or personal stockpile?
@LithicMetals3 жыл бұрын
This was actually silver I had stashed away. I had refined material to pour for a customer, and thought it be a good time to pour a couple extra. 😁
@prestontucker61713 жыл бұрын
@@LithicMetals Awesome! I want to start collecting and refining so bad. I want to start with silver, but I don't have a space I can dedicate to it and make it safe. I really like your set up and the way you organize your tools. Very efficient, at least on-camera.

Hello ... how did you get your name and is there a meaning behind it ? It makes a stunning logo !!!!
@LithicMetals3 жыл бұрын
The word Lithic pertains to stone. The first metals I hunted for were generally encapsulated within stone... lithic metals. I'm also a collector and hunter of stone artifacts. The word was a natural fit for the brand I wanted to build. I'm glad to hear you enjoy it. I had a lot of fun creating the artwork, and making the logo exactly how I thought it be best. Cheers!

Very nice :) Have you noticed when you melt silver with a blow torch that a lot of white dust appears and settles around the work area? Do you think it’s harmful to breath?
@LithicMetals3 жыл бұрын
Great question! That white dust looks amazing under a loupe. The tiniest little balls of shot you can imagine lol. I'm very careful to wipe up and collect it all after each batch. Which I later refine again. Thankfully, unlike many other metals... silver is non toxic to humans, even after prolonged exposure. The fumes and fine particulates may cause temporary upper respiratory issues for some folks, but overall... there isn't a high risk of any long-term health issues. That said, I wear a face shield and of course work under a strong exhaust hood.
@firebirdbullion81233 жыл бұрын
@@LithicMetals ok great thanks I hadn’t thought of collecting the dust. Good idea thanks Glad to hear it’s not harmful Thanks again and all the best
