I am very proud of these Boys, the way they march and play. (My uncle fought and died with the Black Watch in Germany in February 1945. I'm sure he would be proud too.) Thank you for posting this!

Every time I hear these pipes it reminds me of a particular tune that was played in the movie The Longest Day that holds a particular importance in my heart.

one of my ancestors David Neill was in the black watch a long time ago. I'm part of the clan McNeill of Barra and my part of the clan held from inveresk and we are know as the inveresk Neill's. Even though I'm living in England. I'm proud of my ancestors and like I have Icelandic Viking blood in me I'm also have Scottish blood in me as I always love wearing a kilt especially the 3 I've got including the black watch and i'm planning on getting the clan McNeill of Barra tartan kilt and I like the bagpipes and haggis and Scottish whisky and Scottish smoked salmon

I know how to tell what battalions hey are because of the band/bagpipers but is there anything on the cerimonal uniform?
@allano9377 жыл бұрын
There is nothing to tell the battalions apart on the number 1 uniform but in combat dress they wear different coloured hackels on the tam o shanter. The black watch here would wear red .
