Yes, I was a motor trade professional and am now retired. That particular model is really the perfect choice if you are used to a powerful fast car that's practical. That makes a good low mileage example expensive. That model holds its value here in the UK. I'll find the right car, and tune it and have some fun. 😊

I just bought m240i xdrive, I’m from Sweden, but wondering about the Daw as you has or the other two bigger ones, but than need to upgrade the Zf8, for around 10K included transport, and maybe an forged motor for another 10K, so that’s around 30K to reach the high 9’th in 402m, maybe better to just buy an G80/81 and send the dme to Finland for around 2.5K and then just the mhd with dp & intakes…

An M3 would be way more fun and practical anyways. 4 door sedan you can change from rwd to 4wd, the fact its an M3, way more attention, better sounding exhaust stock, etc.

Look into the remnant performance turbo kit. It’s better than the daw and cost about the same. Unlike the DAW, it’s not a hybrid.

I'm not sure how you feel about the DME unlock issue, could you elaborate 😂. This channel has been a big find for me. I plan to tune my m240 next year. Will have to rent a car to get around, so that's an added expense. After watching your xhp videos, I did it and it's been my best mod so far. The jb4 is ok-ish. I had an apr tune on my last car, there is nothing like having a flash. The jb4 feels like adding a VPN to a network. There is now something that makes ok power but it only ... For example a tune adjusts the timing even off boost. This is too jeckel and Hyde... Anyway, I'll stop the essay here. I have found this, and most of your videos useful.

B58 Gen2 needs to unlock the Dme, in Finland, Gen1 just need the mhd directly

Make sure you check your DME build date. Not sure if this could happen on an m240i, but I sent my 2021 M340i DME to FEMTO and they sent it back without doing anything 😂 Turns out that while my car’s build date was 6 months after the ECU cutoff, the date on the DME itself was 3 months before the cutoff. I thought I’d done all the checks, but I didn’t see the actual DME build date until I checked the car with MHD

M140i converted to Xdrive? What?! How difficult is that to do? I have a manual M3. Just bought it actually this month. I'd love to have xdrive on that but BMW don't offer it.

It’s not a simple as bolting like a 120d that comes xdrive already it uses a lot of different parts I believe from different cars etc

@@triz1hunna151 Yeah that's just a fantasy wish list really. It would be far cheaper, not to mention simpler, to just buy the competition with Xdrive. I enjoy the manual but I live in an area that could benefit from xdrive since we have a proper winter here and it's basically the mountains but BMW I guess feel the need to product segment for marketing reasons. Pretty frustrating.

@ the thing is we also have a controller so it’s like the new m cars where it can be switched to rwd if you want but you only really go xdrive to do the times really and the weather etc. but I understand what your saying

@@triz1hunna151 Yeah for sure. It makes a lot of sense. It was really down to the manual. I sort of like how there is a bit more to do and it is a little bit more involved. I don't have a problem with the automatic obviously it's fast. Hardly any drawbacks going the xdrive route. I'm on the fence about maybe buying the new RS3 or maybe the b58 equipped 340i just so I can have it all. Year round, awd, fast but still great fuel economy etc etc.

@@kern417 I'm just keeping it simple for now. MHD+ with their CAN flex fuel kit. Shooting for 700whp. Nice and "safe" number for the trans and engine.

At this point I don’t think there is any other choice to make. My hesitation is I feel like once I ship to Femto and get MHD flashed, there is gonna be some stateside option lol. Or even better something that doesn’t even require a reflex on top to run PI and boost control
