No one going to mention the fact the holding apparatus he doesn't even mention is a more impressive piece of fabrication then most completed builds, good god the talent.

This is an incredible project with an equally fantastic outcome! Well done! For the benefit of anyone else trying similar projects, as I only discovered this series last night (and binged it all), there are some things done that made the entire project harder. He talked about using a product he wasn't familiar with, but another thing that can be done to help removal is to take your blank (the Styrofoam part in this case) to final finish quality and use a lacquer all over like he did on the back. Polish your blank. Sure it's a lot of work, but the seal will prevent your release from soaking in and doing nothing and will also reduce the amount of time spent finishing the final mold. I've only worked on small projects, myself, doing cosplay props, but there is a world of difference when you do take your blank to a final finish. My car is getting over 12 years old now and needs some intense TLC. I think I might take a note from this series and just make a sci-fi/videogame car, too.

Can't believe you didn't look into the donor car until after making the body! What if you couldn't find a matching wheel base, your wheel arches would have been in the wrong place! That was a very risky move after all that work but glad it actually worked out.

it amazes me how many things happens in a single part. Others would have made 10 videos from the same amount of content :-D

As much as it would make this a lot harder and more expensive it would be cool to put a Honda Vtec engine in this.

To get rid of the foam easily, he could've used acetone to melt the foam.

What's kind of hoping a Camaro or even a Firebird would have worked for that. Since that's what I figured that car was based on.

the Mercedes would be a very neat Base especially if you buy a V12 put long tube equal length headers on it and it will sound like a F1 car. but you one piece shell is kinda problematic.

lol - sold my RC-F and thought to get something a bit cheap, but not embarrassing to drive. After some digging I decided to buy R230 SL500 and this guy is going to use it as a donor for project :)

This section is where it all started to go sideways. A couple times I caught myself going "Noooooo!" having laid several fiberglass and carbon projects. This is one time where having someone who does this for a living is worth paying to have around. These materials are rather expensive and time consuming even when done right the first time, and shortcuts with cheaper materials almost always ends up with inferior parts (there's exceptions, but when you think you pulled off a miracle, it'll come back to haunt you later).
