The show reeked of rushed development... the premise would have made a million times more sense if we got flashbacks of Boba Fett being a "cold-blooded killer" in his Bounty Hunting prime. The Dances with Tuskens was OK, but I fucking hate that it was the majority of the show. Clone Wars fans know that Boba started out as an innocent pre-teen that had to learn to be more cold-blooded. We're missing that middle section of his life other than the times he stood around in the OT barely saying anything and getting knocked into a Sarlaac pit by a blind man. Actually, I think they should've expanded on that "Mando builds his ship" episode. Expanded it to every episode of this series. Then cut the parts with Boba in it. All of them. Then perhaps rename it to The Mandalorian Season 3. After that, make a Boba Fett series, but by people that aren't tone deaf and braindead.
@Ackalan2 жыл бұрын
But that sounds like it could be good, so none of that for you.
@KMCA7792 жыл бұрын
I'll be honest. This could have all been solved with 1 additional letter on "The Mandalorian(s)" You could have made each season about a different mandalorian and thrown all the crossovers in you want and TBoBF would have slotted in perfectly with that. It would have been interesting to follow Mando, Bo, The Armorer, Boba, Visla and whoever else got introduced along the way. When one story finishes, move onto the next relevant character, hell swapping between leads like they did in TBoBF would have been perfectly normal in a series like that.
@MiloMurphysLaw2 жыл бұрын
Or maybe just don’t make a Boba Fett series at all. It was really just pointless. If they had made Mandalorian season 3 instead, then now season 4 would be coming out in February, and that would be a lot better than ever having a Boba Fett show. Or, if they really wanted to have a filler show for “Mandalorian season 2.5” so that they didn’t have to waste like 2 or 3 episodes of Mandalorian season 3 building up to Mando and Grogu getting reunited, then here’s what they could’ve done instead: Make a 6 episode show (not 7) where each episode is focused on different characters. Episode 1 could be about Boba Fett, episode 2 would focus on different characters, episode 3 could focus on Cobb Vanth and also introduce Cad Bane, episode 4 could be about Mando, episode 5 could be about Grogu training with Luke and also have some scenes focused on Cad Bane to give him more set up as the main villain of the series, then in episode 6 Mando and Grogu reunite and end up helping Boba, Cobb Vanth, and the characters from episode 2 to fight the Pykes and Cad Bane.

Or maybe just don’t make a Boba Fett series? I mean his entire character was pretty much just looking cool and barely being on screen in the OG trilogy. Not that you couldn’t do a Boba Fett series at all, it would just be extremely difficult. Even more so than Maul as Fett didn’t “die” until Return of the Jedi so he was more established as the silent mysterious badass. If it were done, it would definitely be better off working to fill the massive gap between the prequels and OG trilogy. I mean he was essentially a child when his dad died. I would have liked a clone wars style animated series focused on Fett that picked up his arc trying to kill Mace Windu and struggling with his morality among/basically being raised by bounty hunters. Then it could move into the fall of the republic/Order 66 which Fett losing his original will to live (like if Maul learned Kenobi died) and learning to survive as a bounty hunter. Then we could do a live action (or preferably still animated) or whatever of Boba Fett getting out the pit (preferably being rescued to humble him and serve as a springboard for character reflection/growth), learning of the fall of the empire, and having to choose whether to continue being a bounty hunter or not and where his morals lie. The biggest problem is this show happening without Fett getting an actual character (because he never had one). This show doesn’t write one and they didn’t really give him one in the Mandolorian. It’s literally just Boba Fett kinda doing stuff with some Mandolorian scenes sprinkled in.

@@garbotoxins840 So where were they keeping their vehicles from the harsh elements? The reason why vehicles on Tatooine look the way they do is because stuff keeps breaking because of the harsh elements, so people are trying to cobble together parts as best as they can to keep it all going. These vehicles look like they're not put together, but rather straight off the production line and worse still straight from another franchise. They also didn't fit in with the design language of the characters. Look at their cybernetic enhancements - they look more retro-fitted and much more in line with street kids spending any money they could get their hands on in upgrading themselves in this manner. Those are more believable and dont look out of the realms of possibility for the characters. Where as the bikes look way out of their price range. You know its bad when my Mum who was watching it comments on how they don't fit in with the show.
@garbotoxins8402 жыл бұрын
@@gladiatorscoops4907 They look straight from a production line? I have to disagree there, they look like teens focused all the money they could earn into 'modding' bikes. They're mods in-universe but they're also based on the real subculture of the same name, 'mods' that do the same, minus the cybernetic modding. In universe too, I think it works really well as a cultural off-shoot of pod-racing, those pods surely must have cost more as well compared to small speeders? In episode 1, Anakin, a slave boy manages to build a pod racer, I don't think free people managing to slap together a 1950s mod speeder is that much of a stretch.
