Identity theft is no joke! Always check your credit score regularly for security updates and let your banks know about changes in your location and financial patterns (i.e- traveling, increased spending, etc.) as a proactive measure against fraud. these book tours got me deeeeep in my feelings of regret for not showing up to the New York signing :( its so incredibly satisfying seeing the impact you have on so many people, and how many there are who I could relate with. I just got back from a solo trip last night and as my lovely cab driver took me to the airport in the morning to leave, he asked me if i was married/single/whatever. I'm used to it as a question, i get it all the time, but it really hit me in that moment that i was there on that trip for me, pursuing my passion, speaking a language I learned on my own from traveling, and it reinvigorated my love for seeing the world all over again. thank you for being such an incredibly entertaining, smart and inspiring person to follow, i know you say you won't write any more books hahaha but i hope i get to meet you at some point just to say hi and thanks

i have no problem saying all of the things i've said here bc they're all things i have addressed to them directly. there are obviously pros and cons to working with a publisher but i really did think they would do more. it's exciting to walk into a bookstore and see copies of my book every so often, but there were many, MANY things i feel could have been handled differently for the cut they take (not just on my book, but on every author's book). i actually asked them a gazillion times, "are other authors just OK with these things?" (not fighting back on design, on rewrites, on timelines, etc.). ANYWAY!
