can’t believe it’s been 10 years. feels like it was yesterday. i lived right outside of Boston at the time. that first 5 days when they were on the run was truly frightening to leave the house. and then to find out the younger brother attended UMASS Dartmouth which is right next to my hometown was unsettling. positive vibes to anyone directly affected.

Ik I didn’t realize it happened when I was in high school. I could’ve sworn I was in college. I didn’t realize the severity of that moment until recently and how everyone was afraid of another 9/11 type attack

I remember this clearly. I worked for a radio station in Boston and had to go on the air the morning or the shoot out and tell everyone to stay indoors. To get to the station I had to drive through 3 road blocks and then escorted to the station itself. I can't believe it's been 10 years!! "BOSTON STRONG"

I was going to an EMT course at WSU at the time and my instructor was one of the medics that ran the Marathon first aid tents. To say this struck close to home is an understatement. In the years since then I’ve deployed to Afghanistan and become a trauma nurse, but I still remember those stories as my first experience hearing about real trauma.

What's really sad is that our own judicial system in the 1st Circuit Court thought the a**hole deserved a lighter sentence by overturning the death sentence and 3 other charges... Like what? Why? How does going easy on psychotic cold blooded murderers help anyone else? I'm sad about their rampage but glad it ended in a better way for justice sake and hope Jahar never sees sunlight again.

Chris, thank you for doing this on the 10th anniv of the bombing. A friend's daughter is married to one of those that lost his leg in the blasts. I was supposed to work the hospital tent that day, but was at Ft Dix, NJ for medical reasons. Several of my friends actually were working,, mere yards from the bombing. So much destruction was wrought by these two, unnecessarily. Safe trip home (if you're not already there).

My daughter and a few of her friends were vacationing in Boston when the manhunt happened. If you look at a map of Tamerlin's path, it's a triangle. My daughter's hotel was smack dab in the middle of that triangle. All of the parents were frantic, as no one could reach them. Their room was in the basement and they had no cell service. When they came up for breakfast, there ẃere SWAT teams and police everywhere. Then, all of their phones went off with all the voicemail, tests, etc that they'd missed. They had a front row seat to all the chaos. As the city was in lock down, they decided to go to Salem. Meanwhile, I kept the TV on and find the wonders of international news reporting. Those sources had info that wasn't ɓiased or being withheld. They arrived back at their hotel as the parade of vehicles were leaving the scene. People were outside lining the streets and cheering on all of the responders. She said it was one trip she'll never forget. Neither will I.

Just finished the Netflix documentary… Boston & Watertown PD should be embarrassed. Not informing the arresting patrol officers that the stolen car was the vehicle of the Boston bombers… firing off hundreds of rounds in a residential neighborhood basically hitting nothing… making an arrest on one while allowing the second suspect to get away and almost run over the arresting officers… firing over 100 rounds into the boat when the terrorist didn’t even have a gun, again putting the residents lives at risk. Felt like I was watching Police Academy.
