It’s times like this that Momotaro should be playing with Gentaro, poor boy is so full of energy and he hasn’t got anyone or anything to play with. His computer numbers game will stimulate him mentally but he needs physical exercise and play to use up all that energy. He is mischievous like most boys when he’s bored. At least now he can play with Kintaro who is now older. 🙋‍♀️🦍🇬🇧

Gentaro is a genius. He is among the top 10 or 20 primates who push the computer screen very fast in the correct succession of numbers. Humans cannot do it that fast. The Momotaros are very special to me. I wish big daddy were more engaging with his kids.

To be honest, you can't compare with what they doing with humans. Human children have that much to compute on a daily basis where as Gorilla's even in the wild just eat, sleep and slight family time. Our children's brains are processing so many things in milliseconds. I know we love to give gorillas human intelligence And emotions the same as ours ( I do, I can't help it) but it's not. ✌️

I have to agree, Gentaro is far ahead cognitively and agile than the others. It is so apparent that each gorilla is born with its own personality, soul, characters and gifts. Much like humans 💝 I really enjoy each and every one of the souls in this Momo Genti family. Much love from Canada 🇨🇦

Nothing else was said about their intelligence or intellectual abilities. None of the gorillas even understand what the numbers mean, they're just learning to memorize some shapes in a specific order but it's still pretty impressive.

Mom has boobs, more white on the sides of her face. Gentaro has more arm muscle, a sagital crest and his ears have a crinkle near the top... the ear is the first thing I look at to tell who is who. Pretty soon Kinkin will be as big as his Mom too... then we'll really have to wonder who is who.

I like the scene where genki is climbing down the bar,and gentaro is waiting with straw in his ✋ to throw at genki,and then 🏃.The boys are wrestling with genki eating and watching all the time,because gentaro will grab kintaro leg and pull him,and then genki will take kintaro away,she doesn't want kintaro hurt,and i don't blame her Gentaro is using the computer showing his math skills,and he is becoming very skilled at it.

I couldn’t agree more! They need a better habitat as well. Their enclosure is basically a glorified jail cell. The outdoor portion of their habitat should have a large, lush natural environment with plenty of fresh green grass, trees, and other live foliage growing. Not concrete , steel bars and dirt floors. There also should be plenty of enrichment and structures of various heights to climb on along with room to run around and space to get away from each other if need be. The troop should have the opportunity to flourish. I’ve heard many people say “Well Genki doesn’t get along with other gorillas” if that’s the case the boys shouldn’t have to suffer for it. Three related males and one female who happens to be the mother of two youngest is not a good dynamic. In my opinion Genki is a bit of a B. If people are going to take/keep these animals from the wild the least they could do is replicate their natural environment as close as possible. Since gorillas and humans share 98% of the same DNA it’s been proven they can suffer from mental Illnesses just like any of us. They get happy, sad, anxious, depressed, bored and so on. I would venture to say I’m some cases their mental state would probably be comparable to that of someone incarcerated …. End Rant - sorry bout that 🤓

People have often commented on how much Kintaro has benefited from having such a loving big brother. Lately it's occurred to me that Gentaro has benefited every bit as much from the relationship. Before the two brothers started to become friends Gentaro was in a really tough spot and may have been at risk of falling into depression. Genki had been doting on Gentaro when he was the only offspring but after Kintaro was born she started ignoring Gentaro and lavishing all her attention on the new one. At about the same time Momotaro's attitude towards Gentaro also changed. Momo not only stopped playing with him but for some unexplained reason Momo also started scolding him frequently. Poor Gentaro was really on his own but then Kintaro got old enough to begin playing with Gentaro and suddenly Gentaro was getting the love that had stopped coming from other family members. I think Gentaro adores his little buddy even though the little guy can often be a real patience test. I know Kintaro will be sad if they're ever separated but I imagine that it will be a real emotional jolt for big brother as well.

Какая комната для горилл уютная. Солома постелена на полу, есть все для игр. А в другом заповеднике, где двое маленьких детей, голые цементные полы, никакого общения через решетки со смотрителем. Представители того заповедника хотя бы посмотрели видео, как здесь содержатся гориллы и сравнили, как живется гориллам у них.

@@coinkydink3984 They all do but in order of frequency from least to most: Genki ( do it for treats !) Momo ( do it for treats !) Kintaro Gentaro Gentaro is the best one. From the last study session I have seen, which is sometime sgo, he was up to 15 and you don't believe how fast he put the numbers in order !!! 😳😲 I'm not sure if any human can challenge him and win !!! 🤣 Just couple of days ago, I stumbled upon an old official zoo's vid that whole family was studing that was dated 2014, that makes Gentaro was about age 3 and he was up to #7 and his success rate was like upper 95%, but when the technician added extra # (8), his success rate dropped like a rock !! But, don't worry, he quickly learned the new order after many tries. 😉 Then, there was another vid that i stumbled upon on the same day, Kintaro was studying, then Momo came in to the room and tried to make Kinkin move over so he can get access to the treat tube but, boy, oh boy, Kinkin ptotested so loudly, screaming, which we don't get to hear unless it's zoo's official vids, but that vid was soooo delightful to watch and hear his scream !!! 😁😜 Sometimes the zoo uploads their vids to YT, but their official site is Instagram, fyi.

Agree, but….has anyone considered that because there is a 7 year age difference between Gentaro and Kintaro, they are not evenly matched when it comes to play and wrestling? Gentaro obviously has a significant size advantage over Kintaro and, considering that, he seems to know to “take it easy” on Kintaro when they play. As for Kintaro, you’ve got to admire the little guy for being willing to take on his brother given his size difference. He seems to enjoy his interactions with Gentaro and often initiates them. I’m not sure this would even be a topic of discussion in the comments if Gentaro and Kintaro were much closer in age…my opinion. 😊
