Now, granted, this is purely all theoretical. When you start to see Hughey’s character and the situations he’s been through, so far, it’s potentially the growth of a new leader of The Boys for season 5. The look he gave when he killed the person attacking him in episode 4, him finally accepting his father’s death and initiating it, learning to forgive his mother. When you see what’s happening with the other characters like Butcher probably being infested with an alien V type thing and MM trying to keep his family together. Hughey and Starlight have the most stability to contribute and fight for, as a group. But like I said, this is PURELY theoretical.
