Hughie was so lost in his new found powers he just didn't care about whats happening to Kimiko at that time and had no remorse about killing the guard. Usually Hughie just ends up screaming. This story is going so way off the source material and I love it. Seems like the power is gonna corrupt hughie and he might end up killing someone most probably A-Train. It will be contrary to how he saved his life at the end of season 1.

I think that Soldier Boy was experimented on by the Russians and given the power to stop another supes powers or the V in their system via that concussive blast. That's why Kimiko doesn't heal after being hit and it would make sense because they've been talking about a weapon that could take down Homelander. I think the Russians were trying to create their own supe killer through Soldier Boy and now the Boys will try to use him against Homelander, hoping to weaken or stop his powers

I knew A-Train was going to rat them out, it also shows Supersonic's inexperience in trying to recruit A-Train to fight Homelander. You don't tell your secret plans to someone you don't know, even if you think they might be an ally. His inexperience got himself killed. A-Train may hate Homelander but he still wants Homelander's approval. It won't work though, he's still going treat A-Train like crap. And way things are going this season regarding Queen Maeve as we haven't seen much of her compared to the first two seasons, it does seem likely that she will get killed sooner then later. I hope not, but it looks that way.

I think that when Homelander said "he wasn't your father" (or something like thath, i don't remember the exact line) he meant it methaphorically. He meant to say that Edgar didn't adopt her because he wanted to have a daughter but because he needed a weapon. I don't think he was trying to reveal that she was adopted because as you said, she already knew that. She Just didnt know WHY she was adopted.

the point of that scene was Homelander telling Vicky that even though Edgar adopted her, Edgar only cared about her insofar as she could be his weapon / tool, and that he never viewed her as an actual family member. Vicky probably had her suspicions about this, but never acted on them until the opportunity with Homelander presented itself.

That's my theory to. The only question is now: to what degree does it counter the V. Does it only stop it for a moment, potentially giving the boys a small window to kill Homelander, or is it more permanent. Does it reduce someones powers, weakens it, or does it completly stop their powers. Can't wait for next week. Really hate this weekly release schedule

I'm thinking Soldier Boys 'havok' powers can deactivate Compound V. I figure the hamster had those powers so they could test his ability to get rid of them. Because they have to neutralize Homelander, but obviously they're not going to kill him off. So if they give him a kinda X3 Magneto ending, he can still emerge later after trying to get his powers back (which they could set up by getting Kimiko her powers back with more V). Maybe they'll keep him on the team with the lack of powers kept a secret, dangling the possibility of getting more V if he does exactly what they want, completely switching things around next season having him the lowest on the team totem pole And I think Edgar is involved with what happened to Soldier Boy, I think its why he brought him to that warzone to begin with. It'd kinda mirror Alexander Pierce being involved with Hydra and the Winter Soldier, and sending him after Cap. He'd definitely be playing both sides in that case

@Marathon Man I'm really hoping that maybe more V can give her her abilities back, and her plot is going to be a rift between her and Frenchie because she forced those powers back on her. That "we'll get out right after this" _could_ be setting up a fall out between the two, but it's waaay to close to the "one day till retirement" trope as well. Either way I don't think she'll just straight up die in the van, there were all those hospital-dance-sequences in the trailer, so at the very least I think they'll get her to a hospital and she'll end up in some kind of coma where she has those dreams

I was really starting to like Alex, didn't fully trust him since he was seemingly a decent dude ( which are few are far between in this series) but after what snitch ass ATrain did, Alex was proven to be legit which pissed me off even more! I wanna see a pathetic ass the deep straight kill Atrain at some point lol. attain deserves to be stomped out and humiliated by a seemingly "lesser" supe! literally no redemption possible for A train after this ep. I could also see a scarred and marred Alex surviving and coming back as a villain, but I'd rather see him follow thru a "hero" arc if he survives (which is a long shot by the looks of him on that roof!)

i think Victoria Neumann has something planned. She told Edgar that she's the one really protecting him and not the other way around could be taken as a "I have this covered, trust me". She might have done the deal for a comp V so she doesn't have anything to lose before plotting against Homelander. I think there's a reference from the comics that was not mentioned in the video. When butcher was talking with MM about how they met, MM mentioned that butcher looked into his file and found out he knocked out a guy with one punch, figuring he's strong. I think it's a reference from the comics where MM's origin was told and he actually got compound v in his veins because of the radiation near where they lived (not sure), and actually killed a guy when he was a boxer by exploding his opponent's head with one punch.

How has no one talked about how quickly Homelander messed up? Stan legit said there's no one to cover up for him anymore and first thing he does is kill Supersonic. He's immediately going to be suspect 1 because he and starlight are a thing "in the public's eye" and why wouldn't he kill her former lover? Next episode has to have some immediate repercussions on that that may impact his approval ratings that he cares so much about.

I like that the powers Hughie and Butcher gain from compound V mimic the powers of the supes they wanted to get revenge on. Another thing I like to point out is that it seems that each member of The Boys have a Supe that in some way personally wrong them. Hughie had A-Train for killing Robin. Butcher has Homelander for what he did to Becca. Frenchie had Lamplighter for what happened to Mallory's grandchildren. Kimiko had Stormfront for killing Kenji. Now Mother's Milk has Soldier boy for what happened to his family. I like this as this give each character an antagonist for their story.

Honestly, why did Starlight even think she recruit any other member of The Seven besides Supersonic? Of course A-Train betrayed them, he’s a scheming ahole. Not to mention he can’t use his power, meaning from his perspective betraying Homelander had no incentive for him. Not to mention he would never work with The Boys after Hughie pretty much destroyed his love life and power. Deep is a spineless coward who does whatever his wife and Homelander tells him to do. He spent two years doing whatever it took to get back into The Seven. Black Noir is… well, he’s not the comic version. Again, he’s a puppet who does whatever he’s told.

Did anyone else notice that when Butcher and Hughie used the temp V they got similar powers of the supe they hate? Butcher got the bulletproof skin, super strength, (not as strong as Homelanders though) and the laser eyes. Hugie got the ability to teleport, which could be seen as he's moving so fast our eyes cant track him. If MM Takes temp V expect him to get similar powers to Soldier Boy.

Wanted to mention a little correction/easter egg. On the Russian TV where you pointed out the similarity with CNN it actually say СМИ (pronounced smi). This is a common acronym used in Russia for mass media & translates literally to sources of mass information. To me it was in line with the show’s on the nose commentary of today’s society & an indication that they have people who know their stuff on the team. Great video as always!

I think this might end up part of Edgar's plan. He is now removed from blame and homelander will likely try to take over world or US motivated by proving to Edgar he is better. This would further allow Edgar's master plan to create super soldiers with temp V.... There has to be a strong reason they have left him alive.
