For a full beatbox performance instead of a loop battle, check out 'If Only' - by River, Colaps, Alexhino, and Hiss. There's quite a bit about the whole community that is awesome in terms of quality, and the Loopstation side of it is definitely my favourite, but sometimes taking a moment to see the raw techniques without looping can give you a better appreciation! :)

Balance is a UK loopstation artist who smashed it the year before. NME was giving him a nod / remixing one of his tacks and the sign Rhythmind was making was saying NME was “biting” balances style. Im a big fan of balance and recommend you watch some of his battles from 2018!

It gets so much crazier, too. For GBB2022, they had tag team loopstation. So-So and his friend RUSY (both part of their beatbox crew Sarukani) did a tag team loopstation performance as "SORRY" for GBB2022 using two loopstations and it was such an amazing performance. Loop was so good in 2022. Even crazier this year.

I agree with your first round synopsis outside of the fact that I feel like this was the last proper response in a loop station battle. These days the next guy just plays his round he had planned or switched for a different round but no real response. Only solo beatboxers actually respond to their opponent in a battle anymore

12:00 From what I have observed the motion he did with his arms is mostly a sign of respect, an unaudible clap if you will. I see him do it when somethings dope.
