If you're looking for bass, wait for the B3s Dusk. This is a neutral sound, it's for people who look for balance, which I think it's not really your style judging by your mic balance. Cheaper iems are more bassy because their target is people who don't know much about iems. These are sterile, natural and in-depth.
@John.Christopher10 ай бұрын
I don't think the Blessing 3 is sterile at all. The details shine and it handles EQ like a champ. I often put a 7.5 dB boost in the sub bass and it punches while the other details in higher frequencies remain practically unaffected. Other times I use it flat. It's extremely versatile. Depending on the Music you can EQ some mid bass as well. It Handles it incredibly
@bla_ank Жыл бұрын
I quite like them. At first I was disappointed, because they didn't have a "wow" factor. Genuinely considered returning them. But they grew on me, and over time, the lack of a "wow" factor became the "wow" factor. They have subtlety to them that's rare in my collection. Rather than EQ'ing my music to sound more exciting, they were presenting the music as it was, with only the slightest of coloration. The mids and treble are emphasized, but buttery smooth, which is a difficult balancing act to accomplish. You get the sense that they could have squeezed more perceived detail out of the drivers by going for something more over-the-top, but the natural tuning is the star of the show. The bass isn't huge in quantity, but it's fast and richly textured. It's definitely not a basshead IEM, but the point of the Isobaric driver configuration was to make the bass drivers faster and more efficient, not necessarily make them "slam" harder I'll caution that you have to enjoy this style of tuning to justify this purchase. The lower midrange is too thin for certain genres, and you'll get more perceived detail out of something far cheaper, like an S12. But in that case, the tuning is far less even, and some of the other qualities like imaging, are also inferior. Something like an AFUL P5 may also sound technically comparable, but the quality of the treble presentation is not on par, even if it has more of a fun factor than the B3 I love the B3, but it's definitely a difficult recommendation for the average listener

Funny thing is Crinacle, the man who tuned the Blessing 2: Dusk has come out and said the Blessing 3 and Moondrop took notes from his tuning and essentially made the Blessing 3 as duskified version already, he said it had more bass then the Dusk already. Though if you look at the graphs they are essentially the same +- a few DB in areas but still I think people are just use to a V shaped sound now and when they hear something much more neutral/harman they tend to not like it. I think the Blessing 3 is an upgrade to the Blessing 2 and a sidegrade to the Dusk. I think if people want more warmth from the Blessing 3 they should wait for Crinacle to release his collab version he has also confirmed as he tends to add more bass and tame the treble a little. That's his house sound.

Thank you for being true to yourself Josh. I remember you saying that you are looking for hard hitting clean bass and pristine detail in your audio gear. And also you're more into speakers and headphones than IEM'S. This explains why you're underwhelmed by the b3. You're after a tuning that does 2 things; a bass tilt; a tilt filter that emphasize the bass over the treble and upper mids, and a slight bass shelf. Well blessing 3 basically doesn’t have any tilt; it's frequency response shows a very lean and natural lower mid tuning; it's completely sterile in that department and it's minor bass shelf is just too little to give warmth to the lower mids. Some people prefer this because this style of tuning usually highlights the dynamic range of the songs better. But it lacks the grandness of a speaker. Chu has little bass but it has a tilt and Aria has a very high bass shelf along with a tilt. So it's natural for you to lean towards those. I want to buy the b3 but I'm sure I'll dislike them at first; currency I'm building my own preference target and like you I too want a deep and surrounding bass but I have limited budget and would like to buy the most detailed set rather than the most fitting to my preferences. I want to experiment with auto eq. And b3 is the best base model for that.

I went for the A5000 over the B3, based on reviews rather than auditioning myself. My very first impression was... Excellent bass, excellent separation, spaciousness and resolution... But it was brighter than I expected, and depending on my mood and the recording, it can sometimes creep into VERY slight harshness (emphasis on "very slight"). It's tricky because the airiness that makes it sound spacious and crisp, is, I think, the same thing that tips the harshness over on certain tracks (think R.E.M. losing my religion). Overall I am really enjoying the flavour it brings to my collection, and am happy I bought it instead of the B3. It also looks pretty darn pretty and I like how small and light it is. I wish it came with foam tips or that there were some dedicated aftermarket foamies available for better isolation. I've tried random foamies I have lying around, but they cause too much bass to be lost and add a little more brightness. I also really like the cable and case they come with. At £50-70 less than the B3 I'm surprised they haven't been talked about a lot more.

It helps the sound signature. Sorry but with the better copper cable and Spin Fit W tip there are NO $300 IEM that come close to the blessing 3. The blessing 3 does have bass. It is just extremely tight and crisp because of the driver configuration which eliminates resonance. So my take is totally different on this IEM.

I honestly understand it as the fact that moondrop reshaped the entire low end to mimic the B2:Dusk but with half the bass boost. So this thing is absolutely terrible for anyone that will never touch EQ with a 10ft pole. On my setup I just have a +3db bass shelf, but I also have an EQ preset with +6db which i found was very fun for phonk tracks because of how fast the dual dd setup is, and being multi-DD doesn't come with the usual consequences. As another commenter said though, wouldn't really recommend them for anyone that doesn't know what they're signing up for.

so they respond well to eq?

tbh just the bass boost goes a long way. but i made slight boosts and cuts to get it to moondrop's VDSF target while i was at it. no complaints.

for $319.99 you get: - cheap case - cheap eartips - excellent technicalities - flat as a pancake soundsignature P.S.: People loves bass.

The Blessing 2 is basically the Blessing 3 with much less bass To quote an head-fier: "I rather listen to silence than music with the blessing 2"
@robertobuatti7226 Жыл бұрын
I recently purchased the Blessing 3 and was excited to get it and hear it, that is right until I heard it, I've spent many hours with it but it sounds blunted and muted, nothing from my DAPS to my dongle Dac/amps can make it sound dynamic, rich or exciting. I'm not rich and this was my first kinda expensive mid-fi IEM as I purchased some cheaper budget IEMS but they sound way better than the Blessing 3. I feel like I wasted my money.

did you keep it? have you tried a new cable?
@robertobuatti7226 Жыл бұрын
@@thaflybear Sorry which new cable?, I might sell the Blessing 3.
@thaflybear Жыл бұрын
@@robertobuatti7226 The stock cable is supposedly pretty bad and replacing it could make it sound like it should. Could also be a eartip fit issue or even a bad unit.
@robertobuatti7226 Жыл бұрын
@@thaflybear Yes definitely, I think I might get a different cable for it to see if it makes a difference in sound quality, and I'll change the ear tips, but if they still sound dull and muted and not very dynamic I'll probably sell them.
