The 9th Dawn series is an ambitious open-world RPG series made by one person. The developer Valorware decided to go back to where it started and re-do the original game with shiny new art and more advanced dungeon design. The extra polish is immediately obvious in the mechanics and world, and it winds up being a cool adventure with lots of content to try out. An easy recommend for fans of indie RPGs, it makes me want to try the third game in the series and compare.

I love the 9th dawn games and i'm just about to start the remake. 9th Dawn 3 is absolutely worth playing still.

Uh, was actually thinking about getting this one (or was it the 3rd?), as it looked chaotic in a charming and fun way. Might finally give it a shot while the year is coming to an end.
