I have now used this pattern a few times, making slight changes to the rows of DC to make it more interesting, such as doing alternate rows of filet (dc,ch,dc) with the straight rows of dc. Anyhow, thanks for all your great and easy to follow tutorials.

Lovely pattern. I love the technique of the single crochet and a chain 1 in place of the first double. It looks much better that way. Going to use that in future projects.

I hope that you do get sponsored. You are my first choice for help and ideas. Even for something like the Skull shawl ( the most complicated pattern that I have ever followed) I would have given up the first try if not for your ability to simplify the pattern and keep it interesting. Thank you, Craig.

Just thought I would throw this out there: My favorite tool for crocheting is my washing machine and dryer... I have a tendency to have slightly uneven stitches, but as soon as I wash and dry my finish project, all my stitches are perfectly even🤗 It can't work miracles, like if you stitch like a toddler (bless) it won't make your projects look like Fiber Spider's projects, but if you stitch like a 10yo(like me, lol), the washer/dryer combo makes your stuff look professionally done (like Fiber Spider's work)

Love Unforgettable also. Just making third cowl. However, it is can be very unforgiving if it is frogged. Also easy to miss the stitches at end of rows - so, counting is a must. It has a lovely feel and drape though which . makes it a beautiful finished project. I have found mine on sale at JoAnn's. Love the video and your Friday chat (which I watched this morning):)

How long do I make the The Brenna Scarf in total?
@claudiacordova77986 жыл бұрын
Beautiful, I would like to know how many rows I need to do in order to make the not increase rows ? And then how many no increase rows I need in order to start decreasing rows ? Thanks you I hope you understand because the English is not my language.
@purpleiguana2086 жыл бұрын
Hello! The number of rows would vary depending on your body size, how tightly or loosely you crochet, and how much length you want before you get to the body part (no increase rows) of your shawl. For me, I like a shawl to be a MINIMUM width from fingertip to fingertip if I'm holding the ends of the shawl and stretching my arms out. Even a little longer can be good, because often the little tips of the shawl don't do much to improve the function of the shawl. So sometimes a little longer can be good. Doing this shawl, you would want to increase until you hold it up with one arm stretched out, holding the pointy end in the stretched out hand, and holding up the shawl with your other hand until it reaches to your shoulder or armpit area. If you want to make it a little longer, that's fine, but I wouldn't do it shorter. Then you would work with no increases until you held up that no-increase section and it went from shoulder to shoulder or armpit to armpit... or whatever your "marking place" is that you're using. Then you would begin your decreases. This shoulder-to-shoulder measurement will vary from person to person. A smaller person would have fewer rows. A larger person would have more. You'll know when it's right for you when you hold it up and it hits where you want it to hit. Hope that helps! And for what it's worth, I think your English is wonderful!
