So... they aren't just standing there for 10 minutes doing nothing. When we hear people's thoughts, all those thoughts are happening at the same time. They aren't politely waiting for each other to finish their thoughts.... They can't just play the voice over of all of them at the same time. Also it's stylistic choice most animes make, to show those angles, to make it look closer to the manga where you have panels with multiple angles of a scene. It's for you to appreciate the scene and the tension. And of course, it also adds running time which means the anime catches up to the manga just a little bit slower. Personally I like it when they show multiple angles and people's thoughts much more than when they use flashbacks from 2 episodes ago as filler.
