They arranged for the prooper paperwork to allow the Brosslers to flee and they housed them on their estate in the gardener's house. The Broessler's had two children that they were seperated from that they had sent to the Netherlands ahead of them, hoping to all be able to emigrate to the United States. The Milne-Watsons did everything in their power to reunited family, but when Poland was invaded it was impossible. The Broessler family would eventually be reunited but it would Not end up being until 1947. The Milne-Watson's lived the rest of their life at Ashley Chase Estate and asked to be buried at the little church that they loved so much and had workmen save when they first moved there.
