I find that the only one that really doesn't scale well is the first QMG. 6 is great, 5 is fine but everything below that is quite unsatisfactory. QMG 1914 is great with 5 and 4 (3v1 is fun), VoD is really good at all player counts. Haven't tried Cold War yet, but wouldn't play it with more than 3!

I just found that unless everyone is the same, once you start splitting the decks apart, it causes issues.

@@TheBrokenMeeple I think that you only split the decks in the Cold War game. And I agree, that does not sound like great fun. Unless you get to a level where you play with always the same people that know how the game plays and make their decision quickly... But even then I'd prefer to play my own game...

I know this video is 4 years old, and I have had all three of these games sitting on my shelf that long. Just gave away WW2, never liked it. Love 1914..its brilliant. Cold war..cant wrap my head around it either.

Hmmn, a couple of notes here. None if them disqualifies your opinion on Cold War. You say you like 1914 best with 6, but it only goes up to 5 players. Are you sure you are remembering that right? Also, you say the previous QMG ganes plays bad with 4 and 5 because you have to play multiple decks, but like I said, 1914 has 5 factions and QMG: Victory or Death has a max player count of 4? Also, 1914 is not the second QMG, it is the 3rd after QMG and QMG: Victory or Death. Anyway, I agree Cold War plays best at 3, but I think the others play best at their max player count of 4, 5 and 6 respectively :)

I have not played Victory or Death so I can't really say. Even my friends who like QMG for some reason avoided that one. As for 1914 - there's a speech bubble in the video at that point where I clarify that I was incorrect and it actually only went up to 5, but basically what i'm saying is that I like it best with max players.

Well this game seems kind of weak for such a vast subject... But I just subs... So not all is lost!
