Poor people will improvise, rich will throw it away, hence all the extensive throwing away of perfectly repairable stuff. I come from Asia but live in Scandinavia. An e.g. washing machine broke down, repair man told me the motor needed replacing, approx €180 + €120 workmanship 2 hrs. A brand new machine costs €350 ? Told him I'll think about it, youtubed and dismantled the motor- on checking the carbon brushes were gone €22 took me 3 hrs total. Regarding the video, if it breaks repair it again. KISS- google this acronym.

This is actually Bradford City Centre. Toolstation doesn't sell pipe wrenches (stilsons) that big, so they had to repair it.

Probably got ejected into the stratosphere when it snapped. Those pipe wrenches are forged, and are incredibly strong. When they let go, it's a bad time.

Solda péssima! Se usarem um cabo de força essa ponta vai se quebrar novamente. Deveria ser feito um desbaste ao redor de toda a peça e enchido com solda mas parece que a preguiça é maior.

Надо было отковать г-образную заготовку, нарезать резьбу под гайку, фрезернуть лыски. На второй стороне нарезать зубья на губке, потом закалить деталь. Станки есть, сделать возможно. Тогда был бы нормальный ремонт.

Если по уму, то собранную деталь необходимо сделать слепок, а после отливать. Тогда еще походит. А так нагрузки в половину меньшие удержит, чем по заводу, имхо.

Why the three procedures drill holes , gas cut , grind to make a slot .? The . teeth matching , dowl pin , . Quenching in salty water does nothing . For all the shagging around it wasn't a great repair .
