I really liked your review. I found it quite insightful. Theo was revealed to be a bit sexist in this episode and rather manipulative, too. The meeting with Nan and Guy in the day and at a height may be foreshadowing a more superior and happy relationship between the two, and Nan and Theo's meeting at night may be showing that Theo has a dark side and/or trouble to come in his and Nan's relationship.

Guy is a gold digger and a coward...Theo may not be perfect but at least he is trying to make Guy happy by setting him up with a girl...Theo knew what he wanted and went for it and no second thoughts...

The only reason Theo tried to set Guy up with someone is so that he wouldn't be an obstacle in Theo's way... He didn't really do it because he cares for him. He did it because he didn't want Guy to pursue Nan...

Yes it’s very different from the original book, in the series they had a variety of twists so in a way we don’t really know the endgame. If you have a chance, read the book it’s good-and you get to understand the characters more . And Wharton based 3 of the characters on historical figures.

From Theo´s perspective, his BEST FRIEND was trying to sneak behind his back and steal his FIANCE just so he could use her to solve his financial problems. Guy is a backstabber

The show is dragging the marriage between Nan & Theo out. Theo shouldn't have read the letter, and based on the book, unsure if he's going to be in love with another man (1995 version) or be ultra possessive. As for Ginny and James...well!

In the book Theo wasn’t in love with another man(they took a different turn in the 1995 show). Throughout the novel he’s always in love with Nan but very scared of his mother.
