The Ranch shows with the original Buckaroos is the real essence of Buck and the Buckaroos. With Don, Tom, Doyle and Willie the pure Bakersfield sounds were born. When I was in Vietnam in 1966, the only radio station we could get was Armed Forces Radio out of Saigon. They started their Country music hour at 5 each evening and came on with Buckaroo playing. Still takes me back when I hear it. I read Bucks bio recently and he and they had no idea an instrumental could do very well-it went to number 1.
