@@rockyracoon3233 Rock on, Rocky! I wonder if the casual listener even realizes that there are different versions of a lot of songs we're familar with.

Lyrics: I don’t want to compete with you Beat or cheat or mistreat you Classify you, simplify you Deny, defy or crucify you All I really want to do Is, baby, be friends with you No, I ain’t lookin’ to fight with you Frighten you or tighten you Drain you down or chain you down Drag you down or bring you down All I really want to do Is, baby, be friends with you I don’t want to fake you out Shake or take or forsake you out I ain’t lookin’ for you to feel like me See like me or be like me I don’t want to meet your kin Make you spin or do you in Or select you or dissect you Or inspect you or reject you All I really want to do Is, baby, be friends with you Baby, be friends with you Baby, be friends with you

Pontins Holiday Camp, Lytham St Annes, Summer 65. Aged 13 and beginning life-long love affair with Byrds music! The rickety juke box in the camp had this playing and I discovered that, for some inexplicable reason, I could get it to replay a few times on the trot.....Heaven. And then the AMAZING B-side!!! An innocent and much simpler time to consume pop music, of course, but that brief moment in my life kind of sticks in the memory.....
