She could bake and decorate a cake every day for a month and still not reach the levels of food waste that bakeries or restaurants do in 1 day. Not to mention supermarkets. I think it's funny that the masses on the internet don't care about food waste at all from anywhere, ever, until the second a chef/baker influencer posts a cooking video. These cakes were likely used to make cake pops or were re-iced into a new cake.

@@LM-MMM I ALWAYS hate food waste. I REALLY hate that animals are killed for food, just to ultimately end in a trash bin. No need being vegetarian to understand how fucked up that is. I DESPISE the magical illusion that food is everywhere waiting for you in supermarkets, when in reality they are trashing the old one and bringing in new one. AND MEANWHILE PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD ARE HUNGRY, while we "made too many sausages, damn"... SERIOUSLY?! those sausages are DEAD ANIMALS, and they are going into the trash?! We have strayed so far from decency, it's revolting. I do think people triple jump backflip into conclusions though. I really like what this woman is making, it's insane. And probably delicious for someone who's sweet-toothed, like me sometimes (but egg intolerance would destroy me possibly). I would like to hear ACTUAL FACTS about what happens to those cakes after the videos, not just sensationalist speculation. And yeah, I have worked in kitchens, I get what you're saying, it's disgusting... Most often than not they do NOT care. They just go for the easy route of putting it in the bin, instead of storing it to feed the employees, or to repurposing it into the hundreds upon hundreds of leftover-based recipes out there, like Canelloni, Croquetas, or F*CKING SOUP, for crying out loud. You can tell our generations have NOT known what REAL hunger is. The only motivation ever to reduce excess food is cutting costs and meeting budgets. I'm lucky to have worked most of my life somewhere where they DO care, and even the food that IS wasted (most often than not by the customers in this case) ends up in a properly-separated organic recycling fraction, used for compost down the line, and often a good part of it is kept to feed someone's chickens at home, or someone's dog, or even for the cats. Pff sorry about the paragraphs, I'm very passionate about this topic, and I had to let it out.
