Begin with book of Moulana Moududi, khalafat e Rashida and Mouluqeeyat. Lectures of Moulana Ishaq on Karbala. Both of these are sunni figures and men of huge stature in the field of Islamic scholarship. This sheikh knowingly or unknowingly has concealed the true opinion of the 4 imams to which I have made a brief mention in my comment in this thread. Hope this helps. Feel free to message me with your findings and any questions. The reason why these people defend Mouviyeh is for the reason that if he is exposed then kingship can never be permitted in Islam. Islam advocates democracy and concensus through consultation to elect the leader.

‎قال إمام أهل السنة أبو الحسن الأشعري رضي الله عنه: ‎"إن مقاتلي علي ءاثمون لكنَّ ثلاثةً منهم مغفور لهم طلحة والزبير وعائشة رضي الله عنهم، ‎أما البقيّة فيجوز أن يغفر الله لهم على قاعدة أهل السنة في جواز الغفران للمذنب ما لم يكفر". This means: "All those who fought Imam Aliy are sinful except for three that were forgiven: Talhah, az-Zubeir, and ^Aishah Radiallahu ^Anha. As for the rest it's possible that Allah would forgive them according to the rule of Ahlus-Sunnah that a sinful Muslim can be forgiven as long as he does not balspheme".

Hazrat Imam Hassan The Son or Hazrat Ali knew all that there was a war and many Great Personalities were Martyred then why he took Bay'ah on the hands of Hazrat Ameer Muavia and considered him as "Hakim E Waqt"? Why do you have to try to bring excuse for both? While if two Muslim countries fight or a group within the state rebels against the govt the one who has the most power labels the other terrorists! You scholars don't support the same ruling for the rebellion as you support Muawiya! Poor people are always the very victim of those different ijtihads 🤔 while the ruling families always escape and poor families lose their beloved ones and YOU scholars of religion want them to uphold to the very foundation of religion. Khuda, who is the most compassionate, will surely knows the best. May Khuda protects the poor from the tyrannicals in the regions.

Excellent point, so Moula Ali was right to pick up arms against this rebel. Sahi hadith exists that when Khalifa issues an order then it must be followed. Moula Ali was unanimously elected. The rebel becomes wajib e qatil unless he surrenders.
