"The Call" music is timeless & only gets better with age! One of the greatest eVeR! Few singers if any, have that kind of emotion in the vocals! Michael could do more with a few seconds of singing, than many could do in an entire career & the music still sounds phenomenal!

is anyone else feeling the connection / inspiration to Bear's Den Red Earth and Pouring Rain here? I cherish this bizare and delicious late eighties undercurrent of sincere rock that is so often overlooked amidst all the hair, makeup and mid american mall pop of the eighties (which I can sometimes adore). !0,000 Maniacs, Waterboys, REM, U2, Talk Talk, The Call, Sundays, So Much yet to be discovered in that weird tweed clad wide brimmed hat wearing underground which led up to the Alternative rock of the 90's.

That's incredible that you got to see them live more than once! I agree this song is powerful. It conveys a positive message about never losing faith or giving up. I was seven years old in 1986 when Reconciled was released and two of my older brothers had that album on cassette tapes. This song specifically was my favorite of all that was on the album. Thanks for sharing your message Greg! ~Dutch

Amazing band, I love my "The Call" Vinyl Collection! One of the best ever! Shared vinyl with my 30 year daughter & now she's has "The Call" records too! Michael had more eMoTiOn in his amazing voice than 99.9% of any human ever to live! The entire band was great & these songs have aged perfectly! By the way I'm Patrick W. I believe ... this was recorded during a date The Call played in 1984 at The Ritz - Webster Hall, 119 E 11th Street in NYC. At the time The Ritz, run by Jerry Brandt was a Premier Venue for music in NYC. You could catch many big acts coming through NYC playing there. I missed this show, but was fortunate to see several others at The Ritz during my time living at St. Marks Place in the Old East Village.
