If I remember correctly from my philosophy classes, induction cannot prove anything with certainty, + induction is only helpful if we assume that nature works the same way every time + we only "know" that nature works the same way every time because of induction. That doesn't make induction any less practical, but hey, since when was philosophy practical?

induction is useless in science unless you have a reasonable assumption of already knowing all the important details that you need to logically think things through. maybe now we assume we know a lot, but people have done so in the past and been spectacularly wrong. this is why in high school science classes, they focus so much on what was right vs what hasnt stood the test of time, and making sure to explain the reason why people were wrong about certain things. often, it comes down to situations out of their control and things they couldnt possibly hope to know. at most, you use induction to generate a hypothesis. then once you test the hypothesis, you use alternate routes of reasoning to determine the cause and implications of the outcome.

I don’t understand how CP0 is visible second time round but it’s terrain blocks when you start? The wooden start arrow is there so it must be the same area, so how do the terrain blocks change to the checkpoint 0/push block setup?

The problem of the unknown is separation and isolation of human groups. It's kind of a thing you can't go backwards on... So advancing in an unknown environment.. without an edit undo button... could be problematic, ie, death of the species. The other question is immune type humans, that could be useful studying...
