One of my favourite things about the gears games is that they give you the image of a carmine from the first two games. Scrawny, stupid and green as grass. And for a lot of people, me included,expected Clayton to be smaller and of a similar stature to his brothers. And then inside the raven you see him and he's bigger than Cole. One of the most badass characters by far

For real. She was around for what, one mission? I know Anthony was pretty short-lived as a character but he at least helped set the tone of the series as a whole. I know Lizzie was used as a way to give JD a conflict, but they don't even capitalize on the conflict, he just turns into an antagonist towards Kait and Del for a few chapters, trying to stop Kait from learning more about her dreams, and then he gets sidelined just to come back a chapter later to be like, "Sorry I didn't listen, let's be friends again." Lizzie's death was for nothing since JD's inner conflict and regrets were just glossed over and forgotten. Also is it just me tripping or could she have just opened the driver-side door? She managed to back her truck up away from the debris and even turned it halfway around, the door didn't look anywhere near as damaged as the passenger door, and the Hammer of Dawn took it's time to reach her truck. I honestly believe she could've just opened driver-side door and ran off and the writers just killed her off cause they gotta keep the Carmine Curse alive. Also, should Clayton get a new reminder inscribed onto his armor, "Check both doors before panicking." #JusticeforLizzie #JusticeforCarmines

They have a birth defect in that family that they come out with a cog helmet. It’s actually apart of there skin as to why Anthony wasn’t protected by it. Fortunately Clayton got a experimental surgery to have it removed, and he wears an actual real one.

Honestly the carmine family are a tragic one since every one except Clayton (another commenter from another video similar to this said the 4th brother's name is Derrick Carmine), I honestly liked Lizzie and I wished we had more time with her since she did learned from the best, her uncle Clay. Though Benjamin will always be my favorite and Clayton my second favorite.

I love how in the lore the locust have hard time seeing in the day due to the sun and them living underground but some how they bullseye every cog soldier in the head with perfect accuracy while every cog soldier including those without helmets can't see more than 10 feet in front of them to see an obvious locust sniper. To summarize plot armor is hell of thing

The Carmines are just a badass family that has suffered through so many losses. Benjamin Carmine will always be my favorite of the four brothers and I still cry when I see him die. In my opinion Benjamin didn’t deserve to die, he was only a kid and the youngest of the family. He should’ve survived. To me the Carmine Curse was brought to an end when Clayton Carmine, the Grub Killer survived. But TC just had to start the goddamn thing again when they killed off Gary and Lizzie. I always feel bad for Ben, he was just a kid at the time, he had that most screen time out of the rest of them, so it really did hurt when he died, he wasn’t the best but he pushes through and did what he could to help get the job done. I really do respect him for doing his best for everyone, mostly his family and Anthony. Also, I really look up to Clayton for getting revenge for the ones he loves and lost, so he pretty much had no mercy for any of the locust, and was known for it hatred of the locust.

While Clay is definitely my favorite character, I think I would have preferred if Ben had lived and seen his character grow to become like Clay's. Like, imagine if Ben had survived Hollow Storm and then, almost two years later during Gears 3, we cut to him and see him as the "Grub Killer" instead of Clay. That would have been amazing character development for him. With that said, his death is indeed tragic and helps to build up Clay's character as well as Marcus', who was clearly more troubled by Ben's death than Anthony's because Ben was HIS trainee and had a lot of potential as a Gear just from his first day in combat. Still, at least Clay gets to avenge his brother and keep the Carmine name alive.

I always thought an awesome dlc for 5 would have been after the swarm attack on the outsider camp, come to as Gary, somehow surviving and fight your way to civilization. Time skip, he's at the riftworm carcass, gets evac'd, finds a grieving Clayton and reconciled his differences withe the COG, or goes to work with the hivebusters.

The 4th and final should be an onyx guard commander, and should hold some brief hatred towards the fenix family such as marcus and JD. Because carmines died under their command or was partially fault of their death. It would also be different experiance as most carmines are chill, the onyx 4th brother could be a by the book arrogant leader. Naturally following the rest of onyx guards being harsh and looking down on anyone thats not onyx

I mean to be honest each carmine died also due to the failings of delta squad. Anthony, yes he should not have exposed himself so brazenly, but his squad should have had someone keeping watch and eyes out instead of just watching him. Then for Benjamin should have been secured and / or moved the injured Ben, as a cre of experienced gears full well would now the risk of not being strapped or secured in an open side chopper. And well Lizzie and Gary is self explanatory

The carmine family other than Clayton have been memed ever since the beginning. Anthony imo should've lasted a little bit longer in the campaign but the death was great and Ben died at the perfect point in the campaign. I was certain that Clayton was going to die and the fakeout was prefect.
