I’m so sorry to say this but why do they keep allowing these mothers to have child after child. It’s not just England, it’s here as well. The unwed mothers payment was, like everything, meant to be a good idea at the time. As usual, people abuse it. Trouble is, neither political party are game enough to stop it. That’s just b......t! Put party politics aside and do something right for both children and country. Most of them just grow up being on the dole themselves. It’s a horrible circle. Pay for the first ‘mistake’, after that they are informed that they must go on the pill or pay themselves for any other ‘mistakes’ ( barring extreme circumstances). Boy, would you see the childbirth statistics drop. What wonderful neighbours they had and the police really tried. It’s such a sorry situation for all. I know of a case here and I observed it myself. I was in hospital having an op and the ward was near the nursery. The nurses weren’t nice to this woman and, as I knew the theatre nurse, I asked why. She was no teenager , she was a grown woman in her early 40’s. Her eldest child was going to turn 16 and she was heard by a lot of people saying that she had to go tot he pub and find ‘ people ( not the words she used) ’ to sleep with as she needed another brat to get govt money. She was in the maternity ward having the baby. Disgusting and what a role model for her children. 🙏🙏🙏🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

Yeh, people like this are the reason child benefit is capped at 2 children now.
@funsizedi882 жыл бұрын
@@RB-rd9lq it must work a bit different the UK than in the US. In the US, you can get health insurance and food assistance, but not cash assistance, section 8(which is the similar to counsel housing, but very hard to get as waiting lists are 2 to 7 yrs long) or cash benefits without a job. You are also required to update your employment information and have the information verified every 6 months to keep these benefits. Some states require you to have your tubes tied after your 2 or 3rd child in order to continue receiving benefits. Most states also require your children to have regular doctors/dentist appts and if you do not take them, child services will get involved and benefits can be taken away. I guess you can get counsel housing and cash benefits without a job or much in the way of child services checking on the state of the home and children??

Alyssa Harvey I know many people who have a big grudge with social services because there are many times where they don’t help at all and make things worse . many people believe that kids shouldn’t be taken away from there parents and are willing to help people keep there kids even if in other people’s eyes they are unfit . but listening to this story i don’t think the mom went to ask for money unless it was under these circumstances, it seemed like she didn’t wanna find a way for her children you know ? i think when your up against a wall and somebody trusts you it’s very hard to say no when you see there struggling especially if you don’t know what’s really going on inside the home . like when my mom was really struggling financially sometimes we wouldn’t have food in the fridge and would have to do chores around the neighborhood or ask my grandparents for food, but my mom always found a way for me and we always had dinner . maybe she was under the impression that things were just rough but she wasn’t a bad mom .
