Beautiful stitch! And I understand systems and pacing yourself when overwhelmed with chores. I think quilting helped me with the pacing part, since a quilt is completed over a long stretch of time, a few minutes or hours at the time. Rome wasn't built in a day. Jeri, before you tease the bullion down, if you pass your needle through the loop, front to back, it will easily lift the top edge of the cast and make the scallop even prettier. BTW, I am loving your dot series! More please! 😊

I've never seen bouillon stitch twisted like this but the longer I watched the more I realized this method is like needle tatting. If I'd randomly found it at a thrift store I would have guessed it was tatting.

@@AnnRicci YES! It’s Sunset Beach, a gift shop is there along with a little food bar thing. They are taking that down now and putting up a restaurant. The beach is full of pebbles that when the sun hits them they sparkle and resemble diamonds. Theres SO many little beaches around here that the tourists don’t know about so I mostly go to them, but sunset beach is still a favorite! ❤️

@@JeriBellini I was visiting my friend in NJ and she said we are going to go to the tip of NJ .... it is where the sun sets last on the east coast (why do I remember these things from years and years ago ???). When the flag ceremony started EVERYONE stood up and said the pledge of allegiance but a few people did not. Pam said ..... they must be foreigners and do not understand that you are supposed (??) to stand up ...... I still have a buoy that I got there ... this had to be at least 25 years ago !!!!

Hi Helen, I use Mettler Thread for the applique and Embroidery floss, 2 strands for the running stitches. I used Perle Cotton size 5 for the bullion stitch.
