It's like Chrysler's engineers looked at a list of all the things that people historically found most annoying about performance cars and put them all into one car. Early British sports cars' laughable pup-tent convertible tops with the zip-in plastic windows? Check. Exhaust pipes along the doorsills so you burn your leg on them when you get out, just like on a '67 big-block Corvette? Check. Really uncomfortable seats like the AC Cobra? Check! Ship it! And so, of course, it was... wildly successful and in production for 25 years. Because Car Guys. :)

Used to work at a Dodge dealership. Had a Viper come in for service. Handling issues. Ended up it had a twisted frame of all things. Was still under factory warranty. We shipped it to Dallas and totally disassembled it and replaced the space frame. Got the car back from Dallas. Then we handed a $30k+ bill to the owner. We totally voided his warranty on the car. WHY? We found the videos his 17 year old son posted online of him driving it. It's amazing that twisting the space frame is all the kid did.

So Casey is from Toledo, got Doug from Twinsburgh, and one of the guest speakers who's friends with Ed out by me in Boardman( Youngstown). Not to mention, we do have the original Summit Racing in Tallmadge 10 mins from where I grew up. Also one last personal observation; the State Troopers. Ohio's infamous Silver Chargers are actually, IMHO, a much better sight to see in my rear view then the local cops. I can't tell you how many times Statie's have let me off with a warning or lowered the ticket! Its always the local cops that are asshats to me. Anyway, its always a pleasure hearing these stories.
