I was surprised that the Deacon stated that the DNA test was flawed. The test itself was not flawed but what was tested was flawed. The test area was done by the priests direction was on an area that had been rewoven. It was a repair made in the medieval times using cotton as the repair material and of course the Shroud was made of linen and that cotton was dyed to match the shroud to make the repair invisible This truly is the shroud that covered the body of Jesus Christ when he was buried but not only that it was covering him when he was resurrected.! To me the test area was chosen intentionally and with malice and forethought! I'm sorry I started writing this before the Deacon was finished and he did talk about this.

Thank you so much for this video. Yes, the evidence is overwhelming, but the carbon dating…why not just do it again in a manner that skeptics would accept? It’s too important to not do it again. We were in Jerusalem in July and I’ve become fascinated with the historical facts surrounding Jesus. Thanks again.

You're most welcome! And I'm not sure about new carbon dating. One thing I've heard recently is that the inert gas they now store it in to preserve it may negate any future carbon dating, but that doesn't mean there aren't other methods (ex. that new WAXS test done in the past year or two).

The Holy Shroud is the Gospel written by Jesus Himself. It is the testimony of His Passion and Resurrection. It is truly the testimony of His Love for all men. The language of this Gospel is the image, a universal language.

Got to see what i thought was the original Shroud up close and in person when it made a rare tour .. but have since learned the Holy relic has never been out of Turin, Italy.. so this must have been a very carefully crafted duplicate that toured! nonetheless, I was transfixed and so grateful to have had that incredible experience!!!!!!!!!

It seems to be the case that The Shroud has two aspects, a record of the Passion by way of the blood and a 'negative' image of the Resurrection formed from a burst of energy, the former being the subject of chemical analysis spoken of in this video, the latter in Bob Rucker's video. In regard to the former it needs to be realised that Jesus had his kidneys destroyed during the beatings. Come his journey to execution he was therefore suffering uremic intoxication, with his blood having a very high urea content. On the journey he would have been nauseous, muscle cramps, breathlessness and cognition difficulties in addition to his wounds. The high urea content played a vital role in the formation of the enduring blood markers.

History is yet to come up with any different personality that fits the man in the shroud apart from Our Lord Jesus Christ. It is beyond coincidence that the physical, chemical, radiological attribute of the shroud only suggest it could only have been Jesus Christ. The fact is no one else was scourged, crucified, gored, buried in an expensive linen despite been treated as a criminal and eventually resurrected. Historically ONLY JESUS fits this miracle.

It is worthy to note that Lazarus was not a crucified man rushed into a tomb because of the evening sabbath approaching. Lazarus was properly prepared but in Jesus case, the tomb was sealed shut so that no one could perform proper rituals when the holy days had passed. They would have bound Jesus like Lazarus was bound but they did not get the chance.

@@mikewalsh1402 Right! And when I calculate the time between death and sundown, there was not even time for rigor mortis. There was no need to try and straighten Jesus Christ's body into repose. The bloodstains clearly show a dead man that went into rigor mortis while on the slab. The image, however, shows a man getting up off of the slab with the left leg raising up and the right arm moving to prop up any weight. The head is lifted from the slab. Physicists with STURP have explained that the cloth would have had to fall through Jesus Christ's body in order to get the image as it is shown on the Shroud of Turin. No earthly artist could do such a thing.

Good question! Part of it could be simply that they didn't want such a magnificent artifact to get too much attention early on or be destroyed in times of persecution. There's also an interesting detail we sometimes overlook, namely that all of the first Christians were Mosaic Law-abiding, faithful Jews. Burial cloths were "unclean", and if it took as long as it did for things like the dietary laws to begin to be set aside, how much more difficult might the notion of displaying an "unclean" burial cloth be to a largely Jewish audience who was just beginning to come to grips with the notion of Christ being the Messiah?

Any blood cells present would not have DNA to test since there is no DNA in a blood cell. Because of the way the shroud is stored and has been handled by many hands over the centuries, there is no chance of isolating DNA from the man imaged on the shroud. While it would have been nice to get a carbon date from the unrepaired part of the cloth, that also is not likely to happen at this point. We now rely on textile experts that have matched cloth fibers, weave and a stitching procedure with what has been found at Masada and no where else. I would say that focusing on what we do know at this point is more compelling than focusing on what we do not know.

@@0U8123MTA3 I would only opine that the many KZbin videos arguing for the authenticity of the shroud seem to embody confirmation bias, i.e., people who WANT to believe the shroud is authentic give their reasons why they think the shroud should be considered authentic. But there is not INDEPENDENT verification of its authenticity. No DNA evidence, no carbon dating, no independent scientific evidence. Just belief. As for me, I am fine with the fact that the shroud is an example of the religious art of the medieval period. It does not have to be more than that for me to be worthy of my respect.

I believe the DNA will show two X chromosomes and no Y chromosome. A female carries the X chromosome while a male carries an Y and an X. With Jesus Father being God I think it will be absent the Y chromosone.chromosome. That is if they ven can retrieve any DNA

@@joinjen3854 yes, the catholic church was founded at Pentecost with all the apostles present, who then spread out all over the Middle East with Peter going to Rome and setting up a community of Roman Catholics (hint: there's a letter to the Romans in the Bible). the church in Rome was persecuted for the first 300 years and then it was declared official, and as such it came up to the surface. your theory of a catholic church doesn't hold water as you just don't start a church unless you break off of the existing church body, like protestants did in 1500's, orthodox in 1000s and allah followers in 500-600s with a pull towards heresies, disregard for divine authority and abandonment of sound doctrine.

I'm not sure what amount of deformation you are imagining should be there. The sculptor that made the 3D statue which was unveiled in 2019 used a copy of the shroud to "wrap" his statue and check for inaccuracies in his model. The sculptor is satisfied that the statue he made from scientific data matches the image on the shroud in a reasonable manner. It appears the kneecaps left an intense image while the underknees left a faint image. This indicates the legs were in a bent position and the cloth was draped over the body rather than tightly bound. The face also has a stronger intensity comparted to the back of the head indicating the head was lifted slightly. The bottom of the right foot shows more intensely than the left foot indicating the left foot was raised from where the body was resting. It appears motion in the right arm is recorded as the fingers and forearm are longer than they should be. When you make a statement like "never any body there", you are asserting a negative. Proving a negative works best for things in plain sight. Otherwise, it is very complicated to prove a negative. The circumstantial evidence indicates there was a deceased body in contact with the cloth due to blood stains and anatomical accuracy of the image. When there is no other possibility, circumstantial evidence is admissible. You have failed to present a reasonable method of producing the detailed forensics of the blood, 3D space and anatomical accuracy of a moving human body without having an actual human body in contact with the cloth.

When I did a search, I found this: "Human blood consists of leukocytes, thrombocytes, and erythrocytes which do not contain a cell nucleus. Red blood cells also do not contain DNA or a nucleus. When blood is transferred from one person to another there is no mutation or variation due to the lack of nuclei and DNA". I admit that I assumed you were talking about DNA sequency even though you didn't say such. Maybe you could elaborate on what you expected to find.

i think you missed the most extraordinary feature of the Shroud of Turin as it relates to evidence of the divinity of the Christ, especially as it relates to the younger generations. from their perspective, there is no value in finding the burial cloth of Jesus. for all they know, they could be of the same mind of mainstream archeology in reference to Jesus-he probably lived and was crucified. however, most any Jew killed at this time would've been prepared in the same manner. thus, finding Jesus' shroud proves nothing. but what _does_ provide real significance is the photographic, radiographic, holographic information that was miraculously encoded into the outermost fibers of the cloth. an image w/ no logical, natural explanation or method of transmission. and considering the _best_ theories involve some kind of extremely brief, incredibly energetic burst of high intensity microwave radiation, i would focus on that aspect. i'd view all other natural evidence and data as just a tool to help confirm the dating and authenticity of the shroud. that said, i really appreciate the information provided. thanks!

There are phrases in scripture such as "chariots of fire", "horses of fire", "pillar of fire", "pillar of cloud", sometimes just "cloud", "bright cloud", "clouds of heaven" as well as "stars fought from heaven" and "star of Bethlehem". A study of these passages does appear to match with modern descriptions of UFO sightings. Ezekiel seems to describe machinery of some type. The only thing documented in detail today is in a patent titled "CRAFT USING AN INERTIAL MASS REDUCTION DEVICE". The UFO pilots would be angels. Encounters with angels are mentioned in Scripture. The "aliens" you mention are the angels who are alienated from heaven and limited to travelling on or in Earth. It is reported that angels can send signals to our nervous system including messages to our brain. While alien angels did work to ensure the death of Jesus Christ, it seems reasonable to me that the "star of Bethlehem" and associated occupants would have been involved in the resurrection. Many ancient texts seem to describe the "gods" as UFO pilots.

@@chuckyoneill9029 No shrouds of aliens that I know. Because of the promise made to Adam and Eve, there had to be a life of suffering and a violent death of the One who resurrects the dead. The Shroud of Turin is a physical record of the promise fulfilled. The promise is extended to descendants of Adam and Eve. Since we are on the topic of "aliens" (angels alienated from the Godhead), I'll mention that the promise given to Adam and Eve is not extended to fallen angels (aliens). "Baptism" would do them no good.

People ask about why Jesus Christ had to die a bloody death for our sins. The closest answer I could find is in the "First Book of Adam and Eve". Some passages from that text read as follows: Chapter 21 - Then Adam threw himself down from the top of that mountain; his face was tom and his flesh was flayed; much blood flowed from him, and he was nigh unto death. Meanwhile Eve remained standing on the mountain weeping over him, thus lying. And she said, "I wish not to live after him; for all that he did to himself was through me." But the merciful God, who looks upon His creatures, looked upon Adam and Eve as they lay dead, and He sent His Word unto them, and raised them. Chapter 24 - Then came the Word of God to Adam, and said unto him, "O Adam, as thou hast shed thy blood, so will I shed My own blood when I become flesh of thy seed; and as thou didst die, O Adam, so also will I die. And as thou didst build an altar, so also will I make for thee an altar on the earth; and as thou didst offer thy blood upon it, so also will I offer My blood upon an altar on the earth. "And as thou didst sue for forgiveness through that blood, so also will I make My blood forgiveness of sins, and blot out transgressions in it. "And now, behold, I have accepted thy offering, O Adam, but the days of the covenant, wherein I have bound thee, are not fulfilled. When they are fulfilled, then will I bring thee back into the garden. Chapter 49 - But on the third day I shall rise again, and it shall be salvation to thee, O Adam, and to thy seed, to believe in Me. Adam and Eve were restored according to Matthew 27 : 52 and the Gospel of Nicodemus. Jesus Christ was the First Fruits to rise from the dead to appear before our Father. Then the saints freed from their tombs like Lazarus were restored to Paradise. The second coming will fulfill the Feast of Trumpets just as the first coming and resurrections fulfilled the Feast of Weeks.
