Everytime I hear this song it takes me back, sitting on the floor, mom in her chair plaiting my hair. I would bounce my head to the beat while she bonked me in the head telling me to be still. Oh how I remember those days and sometimes yearn for them back. It was a simpler time in life and the innocence of being a child is priceless!

I love how these brothers expose their vulnerabilites in song. Even when speaking, they are articulate in expressing themselves. Today's "singers" don't express themselves in this way, and it is a shame. Music has a way of saying things in our hearts if only we had the words/chance. I love 70s soul for that very reason -- superb lyrics, beautiful music, and a lesson in hearing of it.

Unsung brought me here so thank you Unsung! Love you Chi-Lites. Rest in peace to all who have gone on. Love You Marshall Thompson for keeping the spirit alive. Have always loved the Chi-lite sound. Thanks so much again. Will be playing their music again. Funny story. I saw the Chi-lites in Cleveland, Ohio in the 70's. They had on blue and white long vests with stacked white shoes. From the time they came on it was pandemonium. My girlfriends and I were screaming so loud thinking they were singing to us....Not. So fun to have alll these memories...lol

I saw them in London around 1980 ish But Eugene had Left them wasn't the same without him, still good Though. Then I didn't Realise he got back again! So its only now I'm Catching up on the One's I missed on his return. It's been a Joyous Trip! This Choon's title Sums me up at the moment but rather than making me Worse Listening to it has made me happy and positive for better times ahead. Thanks for posting this wonderful song by a legendary Group.

@lovewhispers68 You have to pursue greatness, like The Chi-lites today. I came up with this music and nothing today comes close. Period. Bless you for hearing the difference. Thank God for all of the vocalists and harmonies, real musicians and song writers. People young and old are searching for this gold and much of it, even the most obscure is being re-released. Dells, Dramatics, Blue Magic,Stylistics,Chi-Lites,Harold Melvin,Main Ingredient. ALL GOOD! Thanks for this wonderful post. Peace

Oh, what voices. These guys were the best. Eugene Record did not get his due! My God, he could write and sing. The harmonies were so tight. Man, again for the 70s. Those were the days when music accompanied singing and not shouting over the din. CLASS in capital letters!!
